Here is a short list of some Myths about the little known class, commonly referred to as Warlock.

1. Warlocks require skill to play.
It is true that no Warlock has ever needed to use any amount of skill to win a fight, ever, they simply hit Death Coil and they win.

2. Death Coil has a cooldown.
Death Coil is as spammable as every other spell if not more so, Warlocks merely choose not to spam Death Coil frequently to hide how overpowered they truly are. Some rumors are spreading around that Death Coil doesn't even trigger the Global Cooldown and can be spammed as many times as a Warlock can cast the spell.

3. Warlocks have killable pets.
It's a myth that anyone has ever killed a Warlock's pet, Warlocks often solo top end game raid instances using merely their pet.

4. Fear only lasts for up to 20 seconds.
Fear lasts as long as the Warlock commands it to, there are rumors of some players that are unable to play the game because they've been feared for the past 1.5 years.

5. Warlocks can only have 1 Healthstone per rank at a time.
Few know that Warlocks can actually have as many Healthstones as they want, and due to a bug, none of them even cost the Warlock a Soul Shard.

6. Warlocks can only have one level 31 talent.

In fact, every warlock has Soul Link, Dark Pact and Conflag, not to mention DS, Bane, Siphon Life, Shadowform, Leader of the Pack, Premeditation, Ice Barrier and a kickass fighting game with action missiles. This will continue in The Burning Crusade, where every warlock will have a Felguard, Unstable Affiction, Shadowfury, Slow, Endless Rage, Silencing Shot and the Bone Saber of Zuma'kai.

Seduce and fear are on shared diminishing returns, and we can have only 1 person feared at a time.

the truth is, seduce is spammable and cost no mana. why i cant count the times iv chain seduced/feared entier ab teams long enough to 5 cap.

7. Mages can beat warlocks
That's a lie, in fact no class can beat a warlock. We just let the other 7 classes win sometimes because we like screwing with mages' heads.

The end game pets Infernal and Doomguard are useless.

The statement above is very untrue. Not only are the Infernal and Doomguard incredibly powerful they run on newborn puppies. Infernals and Doomguards can actually and have soloed ZG/MC/BWL/AQ (we're working on Naxx). Infernals and Doomguards are capable of just *#%%%-slapping any class in the blink of an eye, but we choose not to because we're already so friggin overpowered. Oh and they crap shadow priests.

8. Felhunter Spell lock has a cooldown.
This is a common misconception, as there is currently no cooldown, and due to certain game mechanics, the spell ignores the global cooldown completely. It also increases damage taken by mana using classes under the effect of Spell Lock by 150%

9. Warlocks currently only have 51 talent points

In fact all warlocks are specced 49 / 52 / 53 but choose not to use all their top teir talents because they are too busy spamming Death Coil.

All 10 warlocks on your server get together and Hold hands walking side by side down zones killing everything in their path like the great wall of deathcoil.

This statement is only 1/2 true, as Warlocks ride single file to hide their numbers

Edit: '10.' Warlocks have as much armor as tanks.

The problem with this myth, is that it suggests Warlocks have armor.

You see, Warlocks long ago transcended crude armor and are actually divine beings, divine partaining to their god-like abilities and not their holy disposition.

Warlocks are immune to all damage besides Chaos, which is only a spell class they can cast themselves. Because of such they cannot die unless they take their own life.

Also, even though Warlocks transcended armor, they still wear it to prolong the illusion of vulnerability.

10. MYTH: Warlocks start off at level 1

FACT: We start off at level 70, we just choose to go through the levels again because Outlands is empty.

11. MYTH: Warlocks are 'playing with fire' in their attempts to control the Burning Legion

FACT: Who do you think Sargeras called daddy?

12. MYTH: Warlocks die

FACT: Warlocks just like to feign death every so often to keep people on their toes.

11)Myth: DoTs only last as long as the tool tip (example: CoA = 24 seconds).

Truth: They last as long as the warlock wishes and stack as many times as the Lock wants. This is for a variation in battle when DeathCoil gets boring.

Mages are crunchy and make my Felpuppy happy.

Love it. Here's some more...

"Warlocks don't have to be told how to play their class."
Warlocks have to be told exactly how to do everything. You have to tell them to which debuffs to use, when to cast spells, when to Life Tap, etc. Also, you have to tell warlocks how to use every pet, at all times.

"Summoning pets takes time and resources to do."
Patent lie; warlock pets work exactly like hunter pets, only you don't have to feed them or anything to keep them happy.

"Warlocks are not as good at AOE damage as mages."
Filthy, dirty lie. Hellfire is actually much better than any AOE mage spell, ever. Warlocks who tell you otherwise are just whining because they don't want to suffer equipment damage from Hellfire, making them both cheap and lazy.

Myth: People hate deathcoil and request nerfs constantly

Truth: Every class agrees that deathcoil is fine as long as when they get hit by deathcoil that they receive 6000% durability loss, which is why the warlock class is the most loved class in WoW.

Myth: Warlocks often do not get invited to instances because of their inefficiency

Truth: Nobody wants to raid with a warlock because their rolls on gear are equivalent to their CoA damage.

Myth: The warlock mount is free

Truth: They steal a human mount and immolate it to submission.

MYTH: Non affliction warlocks only have 2 DoTs

FACT: All warlocks have myriad DoTs and can cast them all at the same time instantly and they each do 2k-3k damage over 18 seconds.

MYTH: Warlocks rely on fear

FACT: Warlocks only use fear to piss you off. The reality is any warlock can kill you with Drain Soul, however, it is rather boring.

MYTH: Warlocks were once gimp.

FACT: Warlocks have always been overpowered and always will be because we're f*cking warlocks you dipsh*t.

MYTH: Shaman used to be overpowered.

FACT: Warlocks made shaman cream their pants.

Haha the secret truth is that we're just f*cking with you! The felhunter could solo you itself but it's more fun to have it snapping at your ass as you die.
