Blizzards development cycle takes about 4 years from the announcement of the project to release. My guess is thats its WoW 2 and they're shooting for a 2010 release date. It's probably going to get a 20XX release though.

Q u o t e: Well im realy hoping blizzard doesnt make this game so good so that most of WoW's players will stay lol....
*Scratches her head* We sort of like the idea of continuing to make World of Warcraft the best MMORPG out there. We also like the idea of continuing to push the envelope and developing something new as well. But, these fears, conjectures, and discussions are a bit premature yet. Let's stick to discussing WoW for now and when we get to a point in time where there is more concrete information about the new project, we'll share it and discuss it then. ;)

"We"
I doubt you take any part in the development scheme of WoW, and shame on you for taking partial credit of what others have done!
While you just read this I just picked like 10g from your pocket.

Although it will undoubtedly pull a good deal of WoW players, "Universe of Starcraft" (or whatever they end up calling it) will be a genre (i.e., future/space) that is not is not interesting to many.

Out of curiousity would Blizzard make a bundle subscription that is more than a single subscription but less than a double subscription? I think most people would like to keep their World of Warcraft accounts active, even if they don't play it as frequently.
Also, not all genres appeal to all player bases, so to assume the WoW won't continue to be successful is just bad logic; much too presumptuous.

Say that to SWG fans before Sony murdered it with NGE.
Or the people playing EVE.
Or those running around in Lord British's latest.

Where/when was a new Blizzard MMO mentioned?!? (Excited at the prospect, but looked around and couldn't find where this info came from...) Thanks for any info/link.

Methinks the sci-fi fans are alive and well.
They're there, no doubt, but the size of the fantasy fan crowd is substantially larger. Can't remember which article it was, but it was rather good, and demonstrated quite a large % of players of MMO's prefer fantasy.
