Q u o t e: It's a shame a new realm wouldn't be the solution since I'm sure all the Americans would roll on it simply because it's new.
It's a possible solution if it really looks like there's enough there to make up a whole other realm. What we could possibly do is open a new realm, have free transfers from all Oceanic realms to it, and disable character creation. It would all depend on actual numbers and trends of players, which I don't have in front of me.
It would be a shame to jump the gun and assume that the 2.3 and season 3 buzz won't die down, cave in to short-lived complaints, and open a new realm/offer transfers for what will very likely be a short term problem.

They're all trapped in the system. Unbeknownst to them they're trapped with no glass.

ever since the TBC mess-up with too many realms, you guys have gone all paranoid. Just open a new server and start forcing players to xfer for free or start splitting them all up individually set to their horde/alliance ratios.

Every single oceanic player will be thanking you if this ever happens.

I apologize, sometimes I get the timezones/realm types of the 210+ realms we have a little mixed up.
I will check.
I suppose that means you have a stay of execution of about 7 hours.

I know that people become more active due to new patches/content, but I think the queues will stay how they are if nothing is done. Every Oceanic realm forums get quite a few threads of new people coming over. I don't see that happening on Mannoroth, I've barely seen it happen on any of the realm forums I browse.

This would be a fantastic solution. I'm sure I speak for all when I say we'd really appreciate if you looked into that possibility for us.
PS - Don't place the new Oceanic realms in BG9 (Bloodlust) ;)
