Me and my friend were quietly questing when a guy name [Removed] came with his 4 bots and owned us. They all did the same moves at the exact same time, mounted at the same time, and they all followed the same guy and there all at the same level. Ive made a ticket, but for an hour now there are killing all. All the bots around him have different names, but in a way are the same. Please get rid of this cheater. The server is on magtheridon. Btw, some of the guys are priest and some are locks, and there are alot of pets. There is no way this can be 4 people. If a GM could take a look please...... DO IT!

PS. another guy or the same guy was doing the same thing his name was Reprisal

The practice of dual boxing is not illegal and quite amusing. So as long as you are in full control of one of the characters, using software to send key clicks to multiple clients is not in violation of the policy, so as long as you are not using automation software to full automate all characters without any work on your part.

If you think current game policy should change to not allow quad boxing please put it on the suggestion forums.

Ohhhhhh, I think I know to whom you are referring.

Yes, he is infamous for having 5 computers, 5 WoW accounts, 4 warlocks and 1 priest.

He is controlling them with one keyboard, but is pressing buttons for each individual action that his "group" takes. This is not against the rules. It is called multi-boxing.

As has been said, if you feel the rules should be changed, please make a post on the suggestions forum.

One does not simply {verb} into {noun}...

There is no excuss for this except Blizzard will in light welcome the extra subscriptions now at a time when the servers are obviously low pop on 75% of them, and to be beatten down by a group of people while lv'ing on a pvp realm is no excuss either just a lame responce from a wannabe butterball blue. All in all the potenial income from the accounts out wieghs the impact to solo players....soon be nothing but a buncha multi linked boxed up punks playing the game, hey wait a second that has been the last year or more..

This particular technique is known commonly as "multi-boxing," Mavanis; while it certainly may seem to grant a specific player additional advantage, it's not considered a violation of policy. As each motion in-game is controlled manually and separately, the practice of operating multiple characters—on multiple accounts—is viewed simply as a clever, yet tedious play style, but not altogether counterintuitive to the spirit of the game.

My apologies for the confusion. I've seen some of these characters in action, and it's certainly a daunting endeavor to witness. :)

First, don't resurrect old threads.

Second. Multi-boxing is perfectly fine, as long as nothing is being done to automate (key word) game play. If one person is controlling all the characters on multiple accounts that he/she owns, it's fine.

Nope. Key broadcasters are still legit, as long as they're 1-1. One key press in, one key press (broadcasted to as many clients/computers as you want) out.

Mods written to use only the in-game addon system cannot and will not get you banned unless you're using them to break the TOS in other ways (spamming, disconnecting other users, talking to the opposite faction...)

I'm a fan of the wireless keyboard trick, to be honest. One keyboard, n receivers.

You are more than welcome to start a new thread if you have an issue that needs to be addressed further, but to answer your question: Dual-Boxing (as long as there is no automation involved) is perfectly fine.
