Would be awesome to be able to watch a match, espcially ones with high rating people vs other highrating players.

Is this possible? Have the devs gave it any thought?

That would be neat to see like stands with both sides in them. Could give them harmless things to do throughout the fight like streamers and things.

We could have a Blizzard-operated Betting Ring.

I'm hoping they implement something close to the replay technology of war3 and starcraft. Granted there is a larger amount of data, but once they had this on the road I can think of endless (actually 2) possibilities.

1. Casting for WoW (i.e. audio commentaries in the various languages about world teams)
2. "Shadow races" (you know, that whole thing in racing games where you see yourself in a previous match) for instances. You could load up another 'replay' (or compete against a live team) and see a shadow of their team running through the instance. I'd imagine 'in game wagering' could be a hoot, who runs the fastest 45 min baron run.

Either of these far outstrech the current fraps method of today.

Are replays, videos, or something similar among those alternatives? Sounds like a good idea in lieu of actual live footage.

Couldn't you just make an Invisible wall *not knowing how the arena looks* and just make all bystands unflaggable. Or at the very least go in unflagged and if they want to fight in the stands more power to them =). Or simply just have like a Big screen TV so we can watch outside.

Speaking as a programmer: If the arenas are in a seperate server instance like the BGs, then just being able to watch them from a fixed camera wouldn't be hard... but watching them from your physical character would be a programming nightmare.
