Q u o t e:
WoW uses and handles TCP packets different than any other Internet game out there.
Thats said, all Internode is doing is offering a dedicated gateway to to WoW. Which PROVES its an issue with your ISP. Take a different/shorter route, and you get there quicker. See how simple that is?

Do you realise how dumb you sound?
"WoW uses and handles TCP packets different than any other Internet game out there."
And they have higher latency than any other game out there when played from Australia on a US server. Thus the *only* logical conclusion is the way they are doing it is *WRONG*.

the only thing that has kept me playing this game for the last year or 2, has been pvp, its been such a fun experience, and if not for using lowerping, theres no way i would have stayed in this game as long as i have, without using lowerping, theres no way i could achieve gladiator rank and get a merc glad flying mount, there are bigger things for blizzard to take care of at this current time, things like scams, actual hackers, not players just trynig to increase their gaming experience.
after playing with 200 ms, i would be very upset to play with 550+ again. i know ENTIRE GUILDS, that get their own proxy setup, just so they can advance faster through the PVE world, ping is a huge issue for aussie players, and we finally have the answer, please don't take it away ><

Its definitely an issue with the socket options used by wow. There is a fix you can download that isn't officially supported by anyone that forces it from the OS side.
Windows Vista:
1) Register on the site and download the following patch:
Note: If you hose your PC doing this, don't blame me. I've applied the above setting/hotfix to my Vista machine and watched my lag drop from 500 to 260. YMMV.

It's not wrong as it's valid under Windows and TCP specifications. It's just that your carriers don't like it and you're QQ'ing

I have been using the Lowerping service for over a month, but in light of all the recent bannings I have read about I decided to implement the Linux IPTABLES and SOCAT solution as the Windoze reg edit didn't appear to work as intended and I didn't want to experience non WoW related issues. My raid dps has increased, my PvP survivabilty has increased but most importantly my game enjoyment has increased.
Thank you to Lowerping for a brilliant service but until Blizzard give the all clear I have put too much effort into my toon only to have it banned. I do however wonder if Blizzard can ban me for routing my own traffic in my own network through my own proxy server?
But then again Warhammer may be released this year. Fingers crossed.

Xalia I used the patch from the website u recommended. Im using Vista 32bit. After i applied the patch i made TcpAckFrequency in the registry changed it to value of 1, rebooted and it seems like it has lowered my ping by at least 100. i went from about 200ping to 80. Thanks a lot for posting the link for the Vista fix, i have been looking for it for a while but to attain it from microsoft is a pain. Thanks again. I hope this helps more people.

I'm using a similiar service. It's ********.
I'm getting 230-280ms in Blackrock server. I'm from Brazil.
I was getting 450-600 without gamepath.
I tryed both. Lowerping and Gamepath. And gamepath is far more stable for me. No lag spikes / dc.

Technical Support does not create nor enforce the rules by which our players are suspended from game play. It seems to have been stated that using a 3rd party proxy sevice is against these rules. If you wish to discuss it, please do so on the Customer Service Forum.
