It's basically botting... There is NO way someone can do that without getting banned, or is it not against ToS???

If so it's called multi-boxing and it's not against the ToS. People who do that arn't botting. they have multiple accounts (and usually multiple computers) all being controlled by a single keyboard. They still have to hit a key for every action they want to do.

As long as she is pressing the keys, then there's nothing wrong. People have modified hardware to send one key command to multiple computers at once.

*sigh* Mulit-boxing isn't illegal, just do a search on it. And using an applet to expand a keypress to all accounts isn't either AFAIK. You can check this out further on the UI and Macros forum....

there's a guy that 5 boxes shamans. He has 4 of them mirror the lead toon and they all cast and attack at the same time. Just take out the lead character.

1 player is controlling all 4 characters... theres no bots involved, and there are several disadvantages to this... Its not against the TOS, and I don't think it should be.

No bots, it's called Multiboxing.

It sends your mouse and keyboard inputs to multiple computers.

It is not botting and it is not against the ToS. Botting involves using software (or mechanical) means to send more than one legal command (i.e. ability or macro) to one account. It means the account is not being entirely played by the person at the keyboard. What you are seeing is known as multiboxing. The player is running four separate instances of the game and using a single keyboard to send commands to all four simultaneously. At no point does any one account receive more than one command per push of a button. I believe that normally this is done with a hardware cable that splits the keyboard input to multiple machines.

That is why 3 of those shamans are set to follow the fourth, and they all cast simultaneously (barring interruptions). The primary account is the only one with WSAD bound to movement and probably has some action bars set so it can cast spells that the slave accounts cannot.

How is playing 4 toons at the same time botting?
Same control for all 4. None of the toons are doing it them selves.
There all taking controls from one shaman.

A bot is when no one has to play the toon cause it does it automatically not waiting for a command from another char, this still has to have a master player (you might say)

I personally wonder how a multi-boxer would fare if a team of five individual players from the other faction were to attack and try to take down this whole "team" ;)

Sure they can. One keyboard and mouse controlling all computers.
As long as the player is actively controlling the characters (no bots), it's perfectly fine.
