Just how the heck we are getting there (both horde AND alliance) is anybody's guess...

There will probably be some Kel'Thas alligned Blood Elves in cages in Area 52 that were forced to build a teleporter there for us Horde/Alliance or something.

I too am curious where the 5 man stands, and its combat style. I am hoping for a Black Morass 2: now you get to kill annoying pansies, in droves! For epixs!

Naxx had 16 bosses. It was an enormous instance, that probably took a couple of months to learn even if you were moving pretty briskly through it. The first guilds through took even longer, because they had to fight through the bugs as well as work out strats for completely original content. The main problem that Naxx ran into was that it was a very difficult, very content-heavy instance, so even if you got to the point of being able to start it, you probably weren't going to finish unless you were one of the first guilds in there.

According to the information released by Blizzard, Sunwell has 6 bosses. It will probably be cleared in a week, maybe two if it has sufficiently cock-blocking bugs. Even if it is released only 6 months before the next expansion, chances are that most people who start it will finish it.

Sweeping Strikes: Increases the number of talent points wasted in useless crap you'll never use while spec'ing Fury by 1.

What is it about a new Illidan kill that makes guilds want to come to the forum and post random #$@#? First it was Gentleman's club that had to come into every thread and comment about endgame.. now Temporary Insanity.

I'm sure you're all really nice guys, but killing Illidan doesn't automatically mean you need to chime in on every thread alluding to how leet you are.

Naxx was difficult to another level. Not to mention with the constant wipes one invariably encounters in learning new content, repair bills became astronomical. My guild got Maxaena to 20%, but that's it. These were before the days of daily quests and the elixer/flasks limits, so farming gold to fund those runs were just too intense.

Also, the 4H were just a huge clock block to most guilds. That encounter needed 8 super geared tanks. Most guilds got stuck there.

I will also bet that most BT guilds will go on the PTR and clear most bosses, and by the time it is released will be cleared within a couple of weeks.

With all that said though, WotLK looks like still to be about 1 year away. My guild is nearly complete with BT and there are many that are just stuck on Kael/Vashj. Once they get past them, I'm sure there will be a lot more BT clearing guilds who can then go into Sunwell.

Still curious if the 5 man will be another lame blue-loot run, or if it will actually offer some decent challenge and decent epics to people who loathe the larger raids.

It's going to have a heroic setting with some (hopefully) good challenges and rewards.

Will the 5 man wing have "Dire Maul Syndrome" where all the gear there beats the gear from previous 5 mans?

EDIT: I think this 5 man would be a good way to fill in the itemization gaps for certain offspecs (cloth healing bracers that don't drop from a heroic, more leather spell damage gear, slower blue quality maces/axes for shaman, and so on.)

One thing i want to know is: is there going to be a rediculous attunement that locks you out of ever seeing the content if you have never been to Hyjal / BT?
