Let's hope it's just a bug and not intended.

Update: It's not a bug. It's on the tooltip now. They added a 2.5 second internal cooldown. Blizzard just pissed all over the grave of arcane spec as well as on Mage AoE being "as god as warlock AoE". What else is there to say?

2.3 started out as a patch that was supposed to help mages, and instead it's had more mage nerfs than any patch in recent history -- and that's saying something cause they pretty much all had some mage nerfs. I just can't keep a positive attitude on this one . . .

is the c/d that it can not shoot more then once every 2.5 seconds or it can not gain a charge , cause if its the latter then wow thats complete b.s if its the former then im semi ok with that but i expect it's the latter

I did stop crying... 5 mins after i canceled my account.

It was bound to happen, since it gave insane damage boosts to AoE and pretty much allowed us to side-step the cap.

Still a shame to see it go, I'm gonna miss watching 10+ Lighting bolts pour out of me on an AoE shatter.

If it's the idiotic method of 'unable to gain a charge more than 2.5 seconds', elemental shamans; LB is a 2s cast.


It's certainly a significant nerf to mages, moreso than any other class (except if it's the idiotic method, in which case, it's more of a nerf to ele shamans than it is to mages), but that doesn't mean that it doesn't affect other classes.

According to the tooltip, it's a 2.5 second cooldown on receiving a charge. In actuality, this is not the case. *AFTER* you shoot a bolt, there's a 2.5 second period where you can't receive any charges (and so thus, obviously, you can't shoot any bolts during that period either).

Still pisses me off, Illhoof is !#!#ing taunting me :( TLC dropped tonight, for my warlock, and now it's getting nerfed.

I've been told seed doesn't proc the lightning capicitor (not sure if this is true) and a 2.5 second cooldown barely affects LB. This nerf is clearly directed at aoe damage and arcane missles. Blizzard just nerfed arcane gear to the ground with this patch.

My experience disagrees (I got TLC on my warlock tonight). Far as I can tell it procs it, haven't done thorough testing though.


I agree though. I just always call people on hyperbole :p

'Pound AM' is not and should not be an amazingly good playstyle. Hence I don't give a @@*#.

True arcane rotations being nerfed bothers me. Mindless, skillless AM spam being nerfed does not bother me.
