0. Death Knights and Professions 10/23/2007 10:56:28 AM PDT

I know this is pretty far away, but I've been wondering something about Death Knights. If they're going to start at level 50, or even at level 60, what level are their professions going to start at? 0? Because honestly, what's the point of a Hero Class starting at such a high level if I'm still going to have to run around Tirisfal farming copper ore or gathering Peacebloom? I'd almost rather start at level 1 and do it the right away--at least then I can build up my professions while doing something else constructive at the same time.

Warlocks are overpowdered.
We all know it's true, with their fopish white wigs and rosey cheeks.

Unknown. We're not ready to discuss what we might do with learning professions with a Death Knight. When we get to that point though, you can bet the forums will be alight with constructive, intelligent and well-thought out discussion. ;)

Edit- Hey a first. I can say more.

It really shouldn't be that big of a deal regardless. It takes a couple hours of farming up mats to level a proffession into the 200's.

I was wondering that myself.

I don't think it would be much of an issue, given that you'll have to be high level and do some sort of quest line to get to make a DK. Being at such a level, the availability to get most of the materials to powerlevel a profession won't be a difficulty.

Some of the rarer patterns might be missed, but overall, you'd be able to get the good stuff at the higher levels, which is what everyone cares about anyway.

Umm where did you get that? Neth just said they haven't decided if Death Knights' professions are going to start at 0 or maybe at 300. Of course they'll be able to learn professions, the question is, what level will they start at?

My Death Knight will have two professions.

Killing and Maiming.

I'll be stuck at 360 Maiming for a while though because I've been having trouble finding humanoid femurs to snap in half while screaming at the moon.
