this tool does need some work done to it. id love to see a spec option, just typing things in comments doesnt usually work because people dont do it. id like to see an inspect option, so you dont have to bother sending people tells if they arent going to be able to do the run. i'd like to see something that forces people to use the option. right now, people dont use it like they should, i dont know why. but there needs to be more incentive to use the tool.

That's a good idea actually. Inspect THROUGH the LFG window, that would be VERY handy!

It's a real shame that Call to Arms was such a great tool, and could've just been totally plagiarized, but instead we got what we got.

You should be able to queue up for any instance you want, and then browse through everyone queued up to see what they are all looking for. Opening up the tool for more options and more variety is what is going to make it work. The notion of 3 choices is just ludicrous. Hey higher level guy, miss a quest, wanna help a group run through an instance so you can do it? Tough luck! Browse and advertise in the channel while signed up for something else!

It was amazing how well CtA worked. It's also amazing how you could've created something so badly to use instead.

We're getting closer to 2.4, but we're not ready to get into too many particulars as of yet. We'll do what we can though to keep everyone in the loop as much as possible.

What update?

Hunter ranged weapons should show on our backs. The code is already in the game.

Just use the LFG tool for some Group quest and it gives you access to the LFG channel w/o adding you to any queues. I just keep that open all day.

My suggestion: Make it more easily browse-able.

Sometimes I'd like to search by level, class, instance, zone. And sometimes I want to browse through all the listings.

Q u o t e:
We have some improvements on tap, that we'd like to implement at some point in the not too distant future, if time permits of course. We're not quite ready to discuss them, unfortunately. In any case, we realize that the tool needs further design work before it's completely effective.

Got to love it. The standard "We are looking into that sometime in the future" post.

Same post was made about pet skill training (how we would no longer be required to tame said pet to learn skill) and why we would not be given more pet stable slots.
Same post on enchanting and the AH.
Same post on player housing.

I never use LFG for anything but heroics. Every time I leave a party, I have to go through every tab and do it again though.

A minor annoyance, but it would be nice for your LFG tabs to keep what you had when you joined the party when you leave it, I'll group for Enchants or something and forgot I lost LFG for about 30 minutes.

Some things I would like to see implimented besides just keeping what settings you had prior:

1) When LFG for a raid instance (and starting with the normal 5 man party group) Going from party -> raid conversion takes you out of LFG for that raid, having to re-setup LFG for it. Please make it so Converting from the normal 5-man party -> raid does not take you out of LFG for that raid instance unless you manualy request to be taken out (or fill up the raid). Minor annoying code, but something to think about!

2) Expand what instances we're able to LFG for, for us end-game players that might want to be nice and help out lower level players, or are looking for that ever-elusive drop from a lower level instance. (I.E. a 70 player trying to get a drop out of Upper Blackrock Spire to finish out their ever-elusive tier 0 / .5 set.)This in turn can be used to see whom the end-game player could group with, without having to bother spamming the trade channel or general chat, and target the people who are of the correct level minimum requirements to enter using only the LFG tool; as these players could be off questing in a different zone, unable to see General City Chat, Trade Chat, or the LFG Channel Chat.

This could be setup up in the LFG tool as "Dungeon - low level". This will also encourage 70's to use the LFG tool more, if they have alts, without having to be on that alt to LFG. (yes it seems lazy, but more use out of the tool is better so that it can be continue to be improved.)

These 2 features (although minor) would add some more Depth to the LFG tool, and I think it will encourage more use from the LFG tool.

any feedback reguarding this??

Dev: And now I have some real business to attend to, so I will say goodbye.
Shaman: This isn't over.
Dev: Oh, yes it is. The Shaman class is mine, and no reason to give him buffs. No reason at all.
