Relocated to Stormwind maybe :3? Eh...One can dream eh =)?

This weekend I paid a visit to the Shattered Sun Offensive while on the Quel'Delar quest chain. It seemed more of a ghost town than I even remembered. The Dead Scar was....dead, the archers shooting at each other from towers were non-existant, and the place just seemed inannimate.

Was this my imagination, or was something afoot?

Damn they took out Doomwalker?


I loved hearing random "Do not proceed, you will be Eliminated!"

And damn am I going to miss aggro spamming Kazzak on my epic flyer and watching him spam the entire zone.

I don't think so. I went through the portal in the Silver Enclave to Shattrath, then through the portal to Quel'danas.

If it had been phased, would I have still gotten there using regular portals? Wouldn't it have un-phased when I left the Sunwell?

Just asking questions here, because I don't know the answer.

I'd imagine one of them is giving a lecture on mortality.

The only reason I'm aware it was phased was because I went to help my friend who was on the quest while I was not on it and we could not see each other. When I did the quest myself the area was as you described. I have been back since and it did not look like it. Maybe once you finish the quest you can go see for yourself?

Of course I'm not 100% on this.

Hmmm interesting. Perhaps it was phased the same way that Undercity gets phased for Wrathgate, although you use a special portal for that one...

It was phased. It doesn't matter what means you used to get there, it would be phased no matter what.

Phasing doesn't bring you to a totally different zone or instance. You're actually in the same place, but you see different things. For instance, if you don't take the portal to Tirisfal for the Battle for the Undercity quest, you can fly up to WPL and ride into Tirisfal Glades where you'll be phased into the proper "Battle for the Undercity" phase. You're still in the same old area, but you only see what you're meant to see. The "special portal" isn't anything more than a teleport to the zone, nothing more.
