Q u o t e:
While the 30s needed help horde side, leveling alliance through the 40s is hell. What is being done about this?

The update on Dustwallow is the main zone being changed but it affects both the Alliance and the Horde. All these extra quests should make it easier to not have to do high level 30/low level 40 quests too soon, so instead you can stack these up and use them to catapult you into your 30s.

I like Bornakk.

70 Druid, 66 Warlock, 64 Mage, 64 Warrior.
By all means, keep using Windows. Mac OS and Linux are both better without ignorant n00bs.

To me, starting on lvl 40 zones/quests at 41/42 means running ZF three times instead of eight to get to level 50 (including doing every quest I can find). Getting into the 40s faster doesn't help leaving the 40s much. Also two of my alts are in their higher 40s and will not be helped by Dustwallow, will I just have to tough it out like before or will they be reasonably helped by this patch?

Dustwallow should allow you to save up some quests and get you through this area, this way you can be a little higher level before starting the level 40 specific quests, so it will help a bit. But it’s also possible you are missing some areas, with the Badlands, STV, Tanaris, Searing Gorge, Swamp of Sorrows, Feralas and The Hinterlands I’ve never had an issue getting through the 40s on any of my characters.

Sons of Arugal are the best thing this game has.

It's a scary zone. What's a scary zone without something scary lurking in the shadows?

There's a difference between scary and getting your ass handed to you by an elite NPC close to 10 levels higher than you your 2nd zone into the game.

Actually from what I've seen of people leveling Alliance, is they completely skip Ashenvale and it causes a ripple effect all the way to seeing Alliance in Tanaris at 39-42 because they're literally out of quests.

Also, could you comment on whether or not the tunnels outside of the instance entrance to Uldaman are being neutered? The quests there are the bulk of the quests labeled for Uldaman, but getting those done is like getting Stromgarde done.

Not to be a jerk, but do people really DO these? Of the four I highlighted, I've done three- never been Alliance long enough for Stockades. I think I've been to Gnomer two or three times, RFK and BFD all of exactly ONCE.

In all honesty, no. I generally do Stocks once for the quests, and don't touch those others. I'll sometimes do Gnomer if I can beg and/or bribe a friend to take me to the boss for the leather pants.

Hopefully the level adjustments will get these run a bit more often.

Don't forget the loot boosts for all those as well. That should help in getting some people to run them again.

It would be nice for anyone on Horde that's not a Rogue, Druid, Shaman, or Hunter to have a reason to go to Gnomeregan.

True! I'd love to do BFD with my mage but I don't think half the people in LFG even know that it exists.

Q u o t e:
If Shadowfang Keep was the only instance that was having the level range adjusted, I could understand this, but with pretty much all of the leveling dungeons in Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor having this happen, it works out.

With the changes in patch 2.3, players won’t have to put off Razorfen Kraul, Blackfathom Deep, The Stockade, or Gnomeregan for later levels as they will be able to go through them throughout their 20s and roll into their 30's where Scarlet Monastery, Razorfen Downs, and Uldaman await to take people into the 40's and so on.

Don't forget all the hard work from the Steamwheedle Cartel in Dustwallow Marsh which will give a big boost for the level 30 range too!

Uld in the 30's? Are you going to tweak the eveness of the lvls throughout the place? Yes, all the first mobs are HIGH 30's, but what about the last boss? 47 elite? When I was running a group through Uld, the 39 rogue did only 600 damage to him. There needs to be more then minor tweaking, and vast lvl changes throughout dungeons, shouldnt be so harsh on the dps that are out lvld BADLY from beginning to end.

This goes for all dungeons in Azeroth

that's a pretty good possibility.

nearly every one of my characters has hit a low 40's rut... in fact, my druid has been level 43 for over a year now.

seems I get into that range and I've done every quest in STV, Badlands, and Tanaris that's do-able and everything left to do is orange/red.

maybe if I'd done Ashenvale, I'd have hit Duskwood/STV at later levels... I'll have to try it out on my mage (currently level 23)

the quest hub in Dustwallow Marsh should help a lot, allowing STV quests to last longer (into the low/mid 40's), which puts you in Tanaris at a better level range (instead of hitting Tanaris at 40, having 3-4 yellow quests, and then stuck with nothing but orange+ once those are cleared out).

where that will leave my druid, who might be too high for the new quests in dustwallow and still a bit to low for southern tanaris... idk.
