I understand what you're wanting to accomplish by shortening the level ranges of the mobs in an instance, and SFK is a good example of where it needs to be done. But I don't think you looked at how people generally level when you considered this.

At 18-21, Alliance is running Deadmines. Horde is running Wailing Caverns. Now, Wailing Caverns has a pretty widespread level range too, but because of it's location in the Barrens (most common Horde leveling), it's easy to find groups for and finish, and if anything, this is the instance that should be tuned for 18-21 which basically just means lowering the levels of Verdan the Everliving and Mutanus the Devourer, as these are only two things that give even PuG WC groups any kind of a hard time.

Shadowfang Keep however, (and I admit part of this is because of the end level range) is not done by Horde until 21-24, and I doubt you're going to have a stream of Alliance wanting to run all the way from Menethil Harbor, through the Arathi Highlands, into Hillsbrad Foothills, and then into Silverpine Forest before 21, not when they can level in Westfall and get a group for Deadmines. Also, because Silverpine Forest is poorly laid out as a 12-20 questing zone with 24 elite Sons of Arugal wandering around it, it's not a very popular spot to level, especially since the introduction of Ghostlands.

Therefore, I suggest to you, instead of going with the low end of the current SFK, tune it for 21-24 instead. Players who run SFK at this level range, will find themselves geared and leveled enough that they won't be running into The Stockades and Blackfathom Deep unprepared.

Not to be a jerk, but do people really DO these? Of the four I highlighted, I've done three- never been Alliance long enough for Stockades. I think I've been to Gnomer two or three times, RFK and BFD all of exactly ONCE.

I'm not saying they're bad, it's just... there's such better alternatives at that point in the game! In the time it takes to run the dungeon, you probably could have leveled up once or maybe twice depending on various factors. Now I'm aware there are lots of folks who have goals other than leveling up, and that's fine, I'm glad they're playing in a way that's fun for them. But is the demand really there? I continually see people asking for someone to run them through a dungeon- not a group, with roles and balance, just a 70 to kill everything that moves.

I dunno, I'm always glad when the old world gets looked at, whatever the reason. But I guess I'm just tired of hearing people complain that they can't get a group for some lowbie dungeon... even if they could, they'd outlevel the gear from it in a day anyway!

While the 30s needed help horde side, leveling alliance through the 40s is hell. What is being done about this?

And how will this help? Maybe I'm blinded by years of assumptions, but I just don't see it changing the fact that whatever you get in such a low dungeon will be replaced extremely quickly. And for that I can offer no solution; if it wasn't replaced quickly then everyone and their grandma would feel as though they HAVE to do the dungeon (consider the Alliance paladin quest weapon, Verigan's Fist).

The more I think about it the more I think I may just be too set in my ways to really appreciate this change. I decided long ago to keep leveling instead of dungeon diving, may just be too late for me now.
