Murlocs are one of the really fun things about Warcraft, who can forget that gurgling battle-cry? Baby murlocs are one of the cutest things in the game, please make a baby murloc available to non-EU players! Only 3 plain (unarmored) murlocs were available in-game, and 2 of those are only to EU servers! The third was only for Blizzcon 2005, so anyone who joined on a US server after 2005 has no chance to get a plain one. Even the armored ones were only gives for Arena participants and Blizzcon attendees, but the plain murlocs are the cutest ones. Can't the US get a plain ol' murloc baby that doesn't cost a ton of cash?
I might even be willing to shell out $10 from the pet store, though I'd much rather do a cool quest-chain involving murlocs from all over Azeroth, where the final reward was a regular murloc baby. That would be a lot of fun, rewarding and interesting. We need more non-combat pets available through long quest chains! (Like the Sprite Darter) Please, please make a plain baby murloc available to players again. It would make many of us so happy!

Even better would be an ingame source. Just one baby murloc, in a rainbow of possible exploitable colours that the die hard farm/quest/achieve pet collectors can have without needing to attend conventions or pull out a credit card to own.

I agree with this whole heartedly. Add a baby murloc pet you can get from the murlocs in Borean Tundra for like 400 clams or w/e the currency they use is.

Personally, I would prefer the last, since 10 bucks isn't that much to me, and I'm only at 78 pets, with very few of the pets from that rare pet achievement.

This is my oldest toon, so I'm doing the Northrend quests for the first time now. The other night, I did the quest with the baby murlocs following you around. They are sooooooo adorable! But I couldn't completely enjoy it, because I know you can't get one to keep. They were in several colors, including at least one I know isn't a pet already. So the skin is already made. I hope that means they're planning at least one more unarmored murloc pet, fingers crossed that is it widely available!
I've toyed with the idea of putting a bid down on eBay for Murky. You should have seen my husband's reaction, LOL! But even if I shelled out for the code, I'd be paranoid about scratching it off, due to this comment Dacoolist made at Warcraftpets.com, "I almost messed up when I was scratching the surface where the numbers are under-MAKE SURE you scratch lightly, even though its under that rubber piece, since the cards going on being 5 years old, like mine was, I scratched a little to hard and almost was unable to read the number underneath! Something about the ink getting old + the stickyness pulling the ink up."
There has to be a better way! Please, Blizzard, give us that cute little orange murloc, and don't make it hugely expensive or neigh on impossible to get.
