okay so I tried to log into WoW and it is trying to download patch 3.3.0. It is downloading EXTREMELY slowly, and it's a 448 MB patch. is there a mirror for this so I can get it quicker, because this is going to take hours... the downloader usually doesn't take this long, but right now it's being terrible.

it's meant to go slow, it's not the full patch, only a partial. just let it go.

Well my issue is it's not letting me actually log into the game right now. It worked fine earlier this morning when the background downloader wasn't there.

Well I gave that a try and it didn't work I still can't log into the game. I've also noticed that I can't log into ventrilo as well which is kind of odd. those are the only two things that aren't working for me. I clicked the option that says don't throttle background downloader, and it made the download go quickly up to 64% and now it keeps doing the tracker isn't responding thing which was the issue when it was first going slow.

I went into windows firewall and made sure the blizzard downloader, launcher, and game itself were all added to the exceptions, but that didn't change anything.

I really have no idea what's going on. earlier this morning everything was fine and now I can't get it to work.

Well the downloader finished now. Still can't log into the game though....

hey... i am not having the same issue with logging into the game but my download is also going very slow. It has been up close to 12 hours and is still at 26%. I am at college and usually i try to get mirrors since it doesnt usually work. I was wondering if there were a way around the college network somehow to get it going faster?

I too am having the same problem, My initial splash screen with the play button pops up and then disappears. The game wont work. I can not log in. It worked fine this morning.

No, but work for 3.3 has been going on (and continues to go on) for more than a month. The downloader itself simply starts downloading the portion of the 3.3 patch as soon as the developers have deemed it "ready for the game" - that doesn't mean its 100% complete or that the parts it has downloaded wont be changed. Think of it as getting a head start while the devs still tinker with other areas of the patch.

I'm hoping this blue is terrible with math and numbers. The delay on this patch has caused so many problems on our server we alone have lost several people in our guild due to boredom and nothing else to do. Sure you can say "well there is always alts" well guess what even our alts have toc 10/25 on farm. We even did hard modes on tocg and ulduar for title runs etc..

To continue delaying the patch for another month is just another way to lose the community. When wotlk came out sure the numbers got really big. But look at the numbers now.. people simply are not logging on and not showing up for raids or they are turning their accounts off. It is sad when every guild on my realm has to pug for 25 mans because there own members disappear. I don't care if 3.3 is released in small doses at least release something for everyone to do.

You don't have a single boss on ToGC25 dead, you still haven't killed Anub ToGC10 yet. You don't even have any of your Ulduar achievement mounts. If people in your guild are not logging in, and turning off their accounts, it's not due to lack of content available in your guild. I know of very few guilds that have Anub25heroic on farm.

GG, now then if you took half the time you took to look at that %%*! you would notice that there isn't anyone on our server who has done 25 tocg due to not enough players, and as for togc once again because their is no one on the server, for instance ranged impossible to recruit them. I tell you what transfer over to our server and off your elitist guild see how "l33t" you are then. You also need to keep in mind casual raiding guilds don't exactly go for hard modes most the time. Also I never said we cleared tocg 25. Now then quit your #1 horde guild on shadow council and bring yourself to wyrmrest accord and tell me how good of a player you think you are? Think you can dps for the entire 25 man and drag 24 pugs? lol yeah

Better yet why don't I do like yourself. Why don't I go back to the elitist days "like i was in BC" and join one of the top ranking ally guilds in the US... then go to the forums and try to talk **** about progression.

3.2 annihilated my 4 year old guild. We never thrived as much as 3.1 and 3.2 has cost us a good portion of our core who have just stopped playing. I hoped 3.3 would revive us but that's not gonna happen. I have to imagine we're not the exception.
