Lifetap

Your $14.95 says you can play the way that you want. But the rest of the raids $358.80 says know your role.

I irks me to no end when people ask for heals in a group. Even if I'm on a tank or DPS, I'll tell them to STFU and realize that the healer is probably paying more attention to THEIR health then THEY are.

For any furries out there...

Randomly pulling druids into your pug and THEN asking them if they will heal for the group. I've never been more embarrassed in my life.

Regarding Lifetap, shouldn't you expect locks to lifetap once every ~35 seconds?

Pet only gets healed if chain heal hits them :P

Which it usually does.

When I play my hunter, I will in a lot of cases hit "mend pet" as I send him in. That or incorporate it into my rotation.

Moo. Are you happy now?

Also, blood spec allows me to heal myself. I rather enjoy that fact. It helps me out greatly.

I'm sure others have experienced this too, but you can tell when someone is only watching healing meters because they tell you that you aren't doing your job if they don't see you at the very top. That's when you know they aren't paying attention to your spec or what you've been asked to do as a part of the group whether it's just spot/raid healing or focus healing/damage mitigation.

Healing meters are pointless; did anyone die? No? Stuff you meter up you hoohoo.

EDIT: Not you Neth, the people watching the meters.

I agree, it's really aggravating in raids, especially for priests because back in Vanilla 2.0. Many priests I raided with bubbled party members to cut down on overall raid damage while I sat back and chain/lesser healed (since we didn't anything besides that, mana tide, and earth shield). I ended up being fairly high on the meters, despite being a fresh 60 in blues, due to only doing raw healing... And naturally that sparked QQ from all sorts of angles. . .

I don't know about others, but I personally love the synergy between the healing classes and how well they overlap with each other. Being the top of the meter isn't what makes me happy. A healthy group or raid at the end of a fight is. I welcome the banana beam. ;)

4) Expectations of me being able to Cleanse an entire party's worth of *stacked* poison effects and still being able to heal at the same freaking time. Not a shaman here, and many, many times I've been coincidently grouped with shamans who outright refused to put down a totem for mass-poison effects. Not all of them, of course (that'd be silly) but enough of them did it to make me want to bubble/hearth if it wasn't for the fact I was already saved to such-and-such.

Ok, I don't get that one. I mean, why wouldn't I drop Totem of Usefulness? Mana totem is usually covered, Health totem from a non-resto doesn't do crap compared to even aoe damage fights. Might as well use Cleansing even on fights that don't use poisons / diseases for all the good the other two are.

The comments on Life Tap lead me to believe that there are some really bad warlocks out there. Are they running completely OOM then chain tapping 5 times in a row in combat? That makes all of us look bad :(

On topic,
I heal pugs on my druid and I hate people that just plain waste time in general. If you have to go afk to eat dinner, walk the dog, etc. DO NOT JOIN THE GROUP.

Also, tanks who can't pull at a reasonable pace. If I'm running around jumping like an idiot, moonfiring the trash, and tree punching random mobs (try it some time!) that's a hint that you can safely pull a lot more. :)

If nobody is dead you're doing your job, healing isn't about numbers.

Fan of Daeena and her blog.

My gear is pretty bad, kind of like your attitude.

Had a dps DK in frost presence that insisted frost was the dps presence. He died..

Couldn't help but giggle at this. My normal daily heroic tank is a DK tanking in DPS gear in frost presence. There's something really satisfying about watching him tanking and doing 9k single target self buffed + Kings on Loken from getting upwards of 20k rune strike crits.
