And today this nerf hits, instead of "2. The change should have very small if any PvE implications. " we are losing 1/2 of the LvB bonus damage and it's being converted to a Dot.

Please review Elemental DPS while using ToW (not when we are using fire dps totems, then we are fine).

Instead of nerfs, we need our Buff Tax reduced.

Edit: This thread really is about how Elemental needs a Buff, not a nerf, yes I know this is a minor nerf, stop harping on that. Yes I know it was done for PvP reason, stop harping on that.

Possible buffs to discuss:
1) T10 bonus are terribad
2) DP > ToW
3) ToW precludes the use of fire dps totems
4) No ranged aoe for a ranged caster
5) many other items......

I believe it was a fix/nerf because elemental shamans ran into PvP with 4/5 T9 (and other PvE gear maybe, not sure) glyph of LvB, and LvB relic and then proceeded to completely blow up half of someone's HP bar in a matter of seconds.

Not until we get enough that the bonus stats on T10 outweigh the massive advantage that is 20% bonus damage on a huge damage nuke.

With how awful out T10 set bonus is, the stats are gonna have to be a massive increase.

I really don't think a minor DPS nerf to a situation where an enemy is going to live for less than 6 seconds is really worth crying about.. it's negligible really.

i think we need to fight for better T10 bonus instead of worrying about T9

It's time that Elemental Shaman are brought for what we can do, not for what we do for others.

They might just do what they did with the Rdruid t8. Nerf it so much the next tier looks appealing.

yeah sadly, but i would be happy with what they nerfed t9 to for our 4 piece bonus or T10.

1. The main issue was shaman using the PvE set bonus in Arenas. We don't want to lock PvE gear out at the door, but we want it to always feel like a poor man's alternative to the PvP gear.

2. The change should have very small if any PvE implications.

3. You should be upgrading to the Icecrown tier of gear "soon," which is why we made the change now.

4. We have some other ideas we're exploring to make PvE gear in PvP less attractive.

5. We are still evaluating the Elemental T10 set bonuses, especially the 2 piece.

In regards to these two..... Sorry to sound like I'm fishing but have you guys ever considered taking things in the other direction?

That is instead of further discouraging people from using PvE gear in PvP gear.. take steps to make PvP gear more attractive in PvE? The situation is only significantly a problem right now as far as I can tell because it's really just a one way street with few exceptions. Seems like that would fit better with a design goal of encouraging players to participate in as much of the game as possible.

Will there be content after Arthas similiar to Kil'jaeden after Illidan? Can we expect to see 8 piece Tier 10 during season 8?

I have a feeling that will never happen again, somewhat because of PVP and having 4/4 of each set.

Rogues with glaives and 4 S4 4 T6 were ridiculous.
