Q u o t e:
Very cool. I reread my Tolkien at least once every two years. And I also like a lot of other old fantasy fiction, like the old Elric of Melniboné books, and the Fafhrd and Grey Mouser series, plus lots of modern stuff.
Good to meet you.
Nice to meet you as well.
One of my favorites was silly fantasy...Peirs Anthony, I loved the Xanth series.
The one I can never remember is the person who wrote two or three books in a series. The first was "Wizard", it was almost sience-fiction, but leaned more toward fantasy.
Anywho, as I derail the topic: The books were about a space station world. But everything in the world was fantasy...Pretty interesting read. =)
Back on topic:
To those who say "why bother" or "look it up"
First, if they are like I was three years ago: They don't know about all the online resources as this is thier first MMO. I was lost back then. I, being the person I am did not look for help often, and just muddled my way through learning as I went. However there were times when a helping hand was far more appriciated than they were given.
Just remember, you were there once yourselves. I'm not talking giving things or gold away, I'm talking about answering simple questions like "How do I get to Ironforge?" asked by someone in Wetlands.
Or "How do I get to the next area" by someone in Darnassas (those were the only two I could think of atm)
A little helpfull information never hurt anyone.
