If you enter a BG while on a flying mount and have a pet then when you exit your pet will still accompany you even tho you are flying. The pet will fall to the ground below you and will aggro any mobs in the area. In order to make the pet disappear you have to land, dismount and then re-mount your flying mount.
You can fly out of range of the pet and you will get your shard back but it means having to re-summon the pet. Not a huge bug but nonetheless can be annoying. A fix would be appreciated. Thank you.

It is the same thing.
It's also most likely too minor (and yet very complicated) to fix. It only happens just as you leave a battleground. It wasn't really an issue prior to being able to queue anywhere as it still happened in towns (such as Shattrath), but it didn't matter. Simple way to make it less annoying: You have 40 seconds to accept the queue. Find somewhere safe to land, then accept. When you leave the BG, simply dismount and mount back up. (or enter the BG dismounted in the first place). Until then, let your pet aggro things, just outdistance it, get your shard back, then find a safe place to resummon it.

Something else annoying is going into a BG or arena in flight form, then coming out in whatever form you were last in while shapeshifted. Granted it isn't fatal if you catch it fast enough, it's still annoying.
