Q u o t e: After they got the nerf bat, i don't think anyone has made another one. Fall damage FTL.
I used 3 of them to move over 30k gold in excess of server transfer limits. They sold pretty fast. So there are people that still want them, even post nerf, though I could hardly tell you why.
It is simply not cost effective for us (Engineers) to tie up that much gold in vendor mats, not to mention the titansteel. I'll make them for guildies and friends and so on but that's it. I suspect most Engineers would agree.

I find it very useful for PvP, being able to mount up then snag people along the way who don't have time to mount up but could easily jump into your chopper. Mammoths work well, but the chopper can pick up anyone in your raid and mammoths are limited to your group.
Plus I like to bust out the side car, find my special lady, and take her for a ride around Dalaran. It's something I rather enjoy, but Dalaran is only so big and can cause motion sickness if you ride in circles for extended periods of time =(

Only thing thats cool about the chopper is I was able to get into booty bay to do the pirates day/hallows end !*%% without getting netted by goblins by being in the side cart. The travelers mammoth is probably much better in utility because you can vendor/repair anywhere.
If you have the urge to get a chopper (and I sometimes do, too) just make a raid with you and 1 other person, go in Ulduar, and ride one of those around for a bit.
It'll scratch the itch, and you save 15-20kg.

My boyfriend just got the schematic for it about 4 days ago and now he's itching to make one.
It's cute until he messages me repeatedly and asks me to grind gold with him while I'm tanking a heroic.

Q u o t e: While your argument is well thought out, impeccably constructed and taps into the current of wisdom which flows through the ages, I really have to disagree.
