The time for the new fishing tourney is completely unnaceptable from an oceanic point of view as it is smack in the middle of peak raiding time for us thanks a lot blizz

I think the main point of the event is to give an alternative to those who complain about the time of the ATV tourney. I'm sure they figure that mid-week during prime time would be a time open to the largest amount of players.
Its in the middle of a lot of players raid time I'm sure.

Yea i was excited to see a chance at my salty title ive been trying to get for months based on luck.
Then i saw the time.
Then i saw my guild's raiding time.
Then i was disappointed in blizzard for putting a fishing tournament at 8 : /

If you're in a guild that'll fire you for taking the day off, but you still want the Salty title, either they're taking the game too seriously or you're not taking it seriously enough.
When Friday comes, we'll all call rats fish.

We wanted to build on the fishing tournament idea with the Northrend Fishing Derby but also make it available at a time that is very different from the original one so hopefully one or the other is more accessible to more people.

There, I said it.
That being said, being only partially employed at the moment, I raid whenever I've got spare time. Hopefully work wont make me miss too many tournaments.
Blizzard STILL hasnt fixed mote clouds. Too hard maybe?

If they had the same rewards then that MAY be a valid argument. As it is I'd have to ditch a raid to do the tourney, as would anyone else in my guild that wanted to do it. Not healthy!
