It's actually reasons like this that I don't think I will be getting cataclysm when it comes out. World pvp will basically be dead in that expansion unless you want to go to the zone specifically meant for it (where the dailies are.) World pvp is my favorite part of this game, but everybody everywhere will be on flying mounts. and there basically won't be any ganking unless you go to the cataclysm version of wintergrasp.
That and the whole farming system for pvp gear sucks now. Every season you effectively start with zero points, so its a big grindfest to start competitively the next season, and all of the points you acquired during normal pvp the previous season are almost meaningless.
As far as I am concerned I am pretty sure wow ends when the litch king dies.

I love all of my fellow community members. If I were developing this game, the loudest and meanest on these forums would probably set policy. I just aim to please. It's my down fall really. :p

Moreover, you should ask yourself, are you gear enough for leveling. And the answer would be yes. You could be wearing stained sweat pants and a tshirt that says I <3 Burritos and you'll be fine. -Sok

May I just start out by saying it really sux when I find a good forum conversation only to be interrupted by RL work that cannot wait.
Anyway,
Fiona, If I were on your server I would accept the task of trying my best to kill you with honor. I would not pop a flying mount and run away unless I believed wholeheartedly that you were only coming into my aggro radius looking for an ore node or herb patch.
I'd probably lose, cause yeah I met your armory equip and it made me shame myself, but I'd stand and fight anyway because that's the best way to learn how to own PvP. You take your licks and figure out what you did wrong, then try not to do the same thing next time.
