They should have opened up free alliance transfers to Cho'gall from a wider array of servers, as it is going to take a very particular type of player to actually stay more than a few months (weeks?) after transferring, especially if they are accustomed to very large alliance populations. I'm willing to bet that very few people have already taken the jump to Cho'gall but I would be happy to be proven wrong.

Then again, if they had opened up this specific set of transfers much earlier, before the majority of the alliance population had already transferred off or quit and when Cho'gall had maxxed out a qq thread on the suggestion forums, this strategy would have been vastly more effective.

What is happening now is an small influx of players who will, in short time, just like their predecessors, either pay to transfer off Cho'gall again, or quit entirely. Good business model, right?

There is not enough management of server populations overall. If there are meant to be populations that are severely imbalanced or extremely small, they should be populated be people who want to be there, not by people who have no choice except to pay a fee.

Why do North American servers not have the same weekly rebalancing that European servers are treated to? These would benefit many more struggling servers (like Demon Soul) on a more regular basis. More happy customers = more subscription fees! Good business model!

I agree 100% with what you say . . . but since Blizz refuses to provide ANY information as to realm population it's the only information we have to go on . . . other than in-game experience.

I can tell you I've seen Dalaran with a couple hundred horde on one side of the city & maybe 20 Alliance on the other. I've seen Wintergrasp with 25 Alliance attempting to battle what appears to be 2 full Raid Groups of Horde. Many people have just given up going to WG. It's just not worth the trouble. Tenacity doesn't work when you are outnumbered 10:1 .

I would second that... almost noone went cho'gall with those free Xfers, peopl prolly went to mal'ganis tho, i'd move my characters to cho'gall if i'd see like 10~~20 servers opening with free Xfers for it (that including my own)

Agreed, alliance need help on our server BAD.

It's ok- Demon Soul is going to fix itself. We don't need blizzard to fix our realm issues, our players can do it themselves. We're now asking to be released from the oversight of Blizzard employees and admin (GM) controls to be given to select players, who will form the Board of Demon Soul.

transfers cost $25us and a faction change is $30 us

PvP wise we lose Wg almost everytime

Pve wise, the low amount of people in the alliance side makes it really hard for guilds to recruit. Its getting to the point to were only 4-5 guilds actually have enough ppl to raid.
