I have a question in regards to joining a raid via the new 3.3 LFG tool
have done many pug raids and usually they all fail at the first boss or shortly after.

so if i join a 25man ulduar raid and the raid leader gives upp and basically everyone else starts dropping out

how do i join another 25 man ulduar run if I'm saved to the previous fail run?

how will LFG fix this problem?

Also, will Earths proximity to Jupiter give me any kind of buff, and if so what kind?

It won't? This isn't anything that needs to be fixed.

If you do PuG raids, this is the risk you take.

(This is just my opinion. Yours is EQUALLY valid, perhaps moreso, because it's yours.)

Totally understandable, given the OP's question.

read carefully: * Cross-Realm Instances/Grouping

this mean you can join a group for 25man ulduar or say TOC 25
but if the group falls apart...then you are screwed cuz ya saved to that raid ID

i think i hear ya when ya say you have to start it, that way it your raid ID and if the group fails, you can start another with your raid ID, part of the problem with that is, then you are the raid leader.

raid leading i alot of work I do not wish to get into that. I merely wish to enjoy the game by joining and not by raid leading it.

but i fail to see how the LFG or joining instances will solve the raid ID problem.

honestly I've joined alot of raids and after 1 or 2 bosses it all comes crashing down then I have to wait a week to do another because when ya start a new one no one wants to join your raid ID becuz you already started it

ppl always want to join a fresh raid ID

RAIDs will be no different regarding the saved ID numbers.

Once you are saved, you are saved to that ID, until the next reset, just like it is now.

If you join a cross-server heroic pug, and do the random heroic, and then later that same day you join another cross-server heroic pug, and choose the random heroic, and it comes up with the same one again, you can still do it again. This only works for the random cross-server heroic pugs.

Raid pugs are not cross server.

If you want to be heard, don't give them a reason to shut you down.

there is nothing silly about the question
* Cross-Realm Instances/Grouping
this means you'll be saved to a Raid ID so how does 3.3 plan to overcome this in the new LFG tool

There are no cross-realm raids as far as I'm aware.

Right. There are no Cross Server Raids yet.

Read carefully.

There essentially is no change to the LFG tool as far as raids go other than the number of raids you can select. All the changes are happening to 5-man LFG.

R

Raid pugs are not cross server.

hmmm that not what i read in the PTR notes.
the LFG tool will help form a raid for say 25man

so what i'm hearing nothing will change raid IS wise and LFG
so if a raid falls apart
you are screwed because there is no way to get thos players back

sometimes a pug fails on money but tuesday we get back together to finish it. with the LFG cross realm you dont have that option because it will not refill with same players.

so if ya were part of a raid that failed after 1 boss and you are saved, theres nothing you can do about for a week because your players are cross realm.
if its same ppl on realm theres always a good chance to whisper them and reform but with this LFG cross realm you are screwed

If you're saved, you're saved.
So you can't go to another one.
Just like it's always been.

No no...

Listen... You can use the LFG tool to LOOK for SERVER Raids.

But there are NO Cross Server Raids. It doesn't say there will be on the PTR notes, and it has been mentioned at least 2 times by blues that there is NO intent to make Cross Server Raids yet.

We are working on making a more inviting interface to handle the Looking for Raid system (we know anything is better than trade chat, heh) but it won't be cross-server like the new Dungeon System.

Looking for Raid
There will be a new option available to players that can be accessed via the raid information screen in the interface or by typing /lfr. Players will also be able to take part in raid-specific weekly quests and will be able to browse the system manually for any other players looking for a raid dungeon group.

there is indeed a LFR in patch 3.3
only dilemma i fear as mean players who will on purpose disband the group causing your raid ID to be saved. similar to players who AFK on purpose on BGs

trust me i've seen my share of players who take pleasure in sabotaging a raid. and because its cross realm they can't be held accountable.
think about, you can be a douche, and get away with it and you now have to wait a week for the raid ID to clear.
