Honestly, what makes OCC so bad? Theres lots of AoE to keep the healers going, bosses are interesting, and the drake fight is cake. It's an easy few badges IMO. Just because it's not stupid easy like VH doesn't mean it's bad.

I happen to like Occulus.
Maybe Im crazy, but I think its a fun instance now.

ITT people who are bad at vehicles.

But really, occulus takes less than 20 mins and isn't hard at all.

On the low end of the spectrum people don't like it because random pugtards tend to fail at drakes pretty hard.

On the high end of the spectrum people don't like it because you can't chain-pull your way to a 15-minute clear as easily as you can do that with the other heroics since you have to mount up and fly across the instance every two pulls.

Because it takes people outside their comfort zone.
People who fail at Occulous also fail at Malygos. Tru story.

Personally, other then that damnable frost mage, I -like- Occulous. Just wish I could find people to do the heroic version with so I can get the achievements out of the way.

I honestly haven't run oculus since ~November/December. It was a miserable place and I haven't been back. This new system will force me back in there.

I top pet damage on Maly, solo Citadel commanders w/o going below a 2 stack shield and I am the champion Demo gunner on FL. GSO!

Here's why nobody likes Oculus.

1. Nubz think that since its right by nexus then it must be just as easy

2. Nubz pick the drake that has the color they want.

3. Nubz are aparrently too cool to hide from the arcane explosions.

4. When the Nubz make you wipe and the good players leave, you have to find more Nubz to replace them.

The LCD here? Nubz. If you haven't run Oculus don't find a group with other newbies to the instance. Atleast listen to the Tank when u pick ur drakes, we only need 1 or 2 greens, not 4 greens and a red.

IMO ya pretty easy, and as a skinner i have a ball on the opening mobs.

I do like how they set the time between instances to be just long enough that if you get Oculus (or any other instance you don't like) it's a better use of your time to just run the damn instance than to re-queue and hope you get something else.

I love Oculus! I still can't convince anybody to run it ... but I think flying around on dragons is a nice change of pace (I always heal on Maly too lol).
