Will "What A Long Strange Trip its been" be changed to require the thanksgiving events? The reason I ask is that current events in my life will cause me to miss out on getting to do that event.

Also how would it change for the people who already have the Violet Drake?

I don't foresee this achievement changing. I am hoping for an epic Turkey mount though.

I doubt it'll be changed. The thanksgiving achievements have already been there for a while.

I very strongly doubt they would add that to the meta. Generally, they only remove things from metas.

I think they've already stated it won't be getting changed.

At least for this year.

Bottom line: Do all the holiday achievements. You never know, next year they may add another year-long meta ("How Many Roads Must A Gnome Walk Down?") for the newly added stuff.

So after this year ends, and some people who were able to get some of the meta achievements done but couldnt get a few, will they get a shot next year to get them. Or will you guys take the Violet-Proto Drake away?

It's not like the raiding meta's that award mounts where the gear from the next tier of raids will trivialize the previous tiers meta, there would be no point to removing the mount for the holiday meta.

Hopefully they add another meta, that requires "What a Long Strage Trip it's Been" as part of it, but also includes things like Pirates Day, Thanksgiving, etc.... maybe this can reward a frostwyrm? : O

If the turkey could fly, even if it was just the 280%, I'd strongly consider giving up the Violet drake for a flying turkey mount.

I mean, a 310% is pretty cool to me. But I cannot deny the appeal of a soaring turkey....

Yeah, I'd be willing to sacrifice the violet proto for a turkey flyer if it came down to it.

Maybe you could add a feature to it like how the Horseman's helm lets you laugh, except the turkey would let out a fearful "gobble!"

Especially since they already have a Chicken mount from the TCG. I hope Blizzard continues the standard of having a similar (and better) mount for each TCG mount they put out.

I do want a Spectral Cat or Wolf mount.
