ok this shaman got a 8k lava burst on me non crit today and then a 5k frost shock. thats 14k damage. i cant even do that much and im a pure class. im kinda new but i shouldnt be beat like that from a shaman to say the least. it seems like mage cant even same amount of damage that shaman can do sometimes.

Your gear is crap. You shouldn't be hitting that hard.

your gear is worse than my gear and i have ressilience. im just saying shamans shouldnt be able to out damage a pure class aka mage rogue warlock classes.

dude u must really suck cause all the classes u jus named out dps shammys cept mabye enhance over locks sometimes. plz dont open you mouth again till u have some expierence in raiding.

I didn't intend the "your gear is crap" as some sort of insult to start a gear war. But the shaman who hit you for 8k with a LvB was probably running 4Pct9 and rocking 2800-3k Spellpower and a 20% LvB increase set bonus.
Mages out DPS and outperform Ele in pvp. You vs. Better Elemental Shaman is not class imbalance.

Mages aren't a pure "DPS" class, not by a long shot. In PvP they are a dps/support hybrid . . . like Shaman.

not to mention ret paladins and destro locks...but don't worry...we'll get nerfed for this because we always do.

Where to start.....
I havent seen yet where blizzard has stated that Hyrbids should be inferior to or unable to out-damage Pures in PVP, only that hyrbrids should be inferior when it comes to raid DPS.
Damage and DPS are two totally different things.
A. i highly doubt a shaman hit you for 8k lvb non crit(since the spell only does like 1.5k base damage, he'd have to have idk around 6k sp to do that?)
B. Frost shock has always hit hard
C. To do damage like that shamans either have to wear raid gear into bgs or have Tip to Arena gear which isnt as easy to come by so most go with the previous(myself included)
Thanks to people like you my tier 9 4 set bonus is getting nerfed into the ground. Even though i work my ass off to get that bonus and the people who suffer most are myself(i'm running the risk of getting 2 shotted) and people who are bad and havent discovered resillience in battlegrounds.

Mages are a dps/CC hybrid. So are Hunters, Warlocks, and Rogues. Maybe you should cut it out with your "I'm a pure class" elitism.

8K Non crit? Here's a tip, if you want to lie, try something a bit more believable. Did he have 8K spell power...
