"QQ doesn't accomplish anything" is what I'm getting from the responses by most of the people in this thread.

If that is the case, then let me point you to SL/SL being nerfed into oblivion. Let me point you to Affliction being gutted because it was "TOO HARD, OMG, WAAAAAAAH, I CAN'T ONE BUTTON SPAM, WAAAAAH." Rets have been nerfed and also the Death Knights because of QQ. Mages Arcane, nerfed due to QQ.

Do you people really think that QQ doesn't have any effect? Seriously? Do you honestly believe that it doesn't fuel nerfs and buffs as a direct result of it?

To say that it doesn't is just being naive and narrow minded.

I see responses to threads that have titles "OMG GC, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?!?!!?"
I see no responses to threads that have titles "The Warlock, the concerns, what does our future hold?"

One is filled with QQ, the other is filled with questions and well thought out ideas on how to fix the concerns or at least address them.

I'll give you 2 guesses which one of the two gets the response.

Then after this being seen on a constant basis, we get to go to Blizzcon and hear our class boo'd (twice now) when some type of mechanic or change is brought up. Makes me feel real good hearing that nonsense, let me tell you. The problem is, it directly influences changes to the class. Gutting a tree, and constant nerfs isn't fun. Flip flopping from one spec to another every 2-3 months isn't fun. I want direction. I want to know what the hell we're supposed to be. Are we Debuffers? Are we a DoT class? Are we a nuking class? Are we a pet class? Are we a buff class? No one can answer this question.

On top of that, we then see achievements implemented in game directly mocking Warlocks (Resilience will fix it).

I love the class and will stick with it. But for the love of all things holy, could we quit focusing so much on the negative aspects coming FROM Warlocks and concentrate more on the negative aspects of the class itself?

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

LET OUR SHARDS !!!!ING STACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still can't wrap my head around the reasoning for not implementing this already.

I'm pretty sure the Inferal cd change was just to match Army. We're probably not supposed to read much into it. Which begs the question, when are we going to get an ACTUAL quality of life improvement?

They're changing shards to a resource system similar to runes in Cataclysm, so they see little point in improving upon it right now.

Again, the Infernal and Doomguard changes are appreciated, but they effectively accomplish little, as the pets are again no longer desired for various PvE encounters due to the extreme reliance of each spec with their respective demons. GC and his team should strongly consider the option of making them guardians, or at least brainstorm a way to make those iconic spells worth using, but not overpowered.

Oh, and green fire please. It's been TWO entire expansions. :(

I'm no expert at programming, but it can't be that hard of a change to make. Just make it to get us through till CATA. I'm tired of farming shards during breaks. It is absolutely ridiculous that we can't have this quality of life change.

As far as the infernal and doomguard go, I have had 5 reagents for each in my bag since affliction with the doomguard was gutted back in 3.1.

Make the pets useful, please I'm begging for the infernal to be made a guardian pet for Icecrown.

We can't stop here....

Make the infernal a guardian pet. It should last 30 seconds and the dps and cooldown timer can be adjusted as needed.

Give it the aggro fade that MI has too to help warlock's threat management.

the best part about the entire affliction gutting is how Feral Druids now get to use the old "it requires tons of skill" to justify their ABSURD hybrid dps.

QQ BLIZZ. FERAL IS TOO TUFF TO PLAY WITHOUT EXTERNAL MODS. PLX "SIMPLIFY" THIS SPEC (gutting the damage in the process and taking away core spells while you are at it). THX MUCH!

The double standards seen in this game is somewhat fun to watch.

WoW Vanilla intro. movie shows an Infernal with an undead warlock. Then you see "MULTIPLE" Infernals later in the video. Come to find out, when you summoned the Infernal "back then" you didn't even control the damn thing and it would try to kill you! OMFG! WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION HELP!!!! What a complete misconception of what I "thought" it was supposed to be.

Now, we can control it and we now get a lower CD. WOOOOOPIEEEEEE!!!

I'm sorry, but I'm a bit ticked off that mages got our Master Demonologist buff, and Death Knights got the best of ALL worlds with pets and how they work. Soon, we will see shaman providing the SAME (which will be better based on the history of homogenization in this game) buff as Demonic Pact. Curse of the Elements is now done by 2 other classes without taking ANY DPS penalty. My favorite has to be that I can be 5th on the meter in DPS with 4 hybrids above me, and I'm sitting at 120% threat having to worry about jacking aggro. Everyone else is about 48% below me. WHO THE HELL THINKS UP THIS STUFF!?!!?!?!!?!?!!?!

Why does everyone get what we have, but better? WTF kind of logic is this?

I would give my left leg to have an army of Infernals or an Infernal that is a guardian all while my demon of choice is doing his thing on the battlefield. Hell, give me some friggin' threat control and i'd be happy.

Its as balanced as saying mages should do crap damage because they use 1 spell as a primary nuke.

Q u o t e:

The way the current technology works is you can have one pet or many guardians. Pets have a pet bar and guardians do not. We get around the first limitation on group pets like the shaman wolves by having them both use the same pet bar.

It wouldn't be too hard to make a guardian Doomguard or Infernal pop out without replacing the Imp or Felhound etc. but then you'd lose the ability to give it specific commands. Having a second pet bar pop out or having one pet bar give different commands to different pets is something we currently can't do.

The Infernal doesn't really "do" anything, and since you target is by summoning it, I think it would be a nice choice for the guardian effect.

About the only time I use it now is if my pet dies on a boss fight as a filler pet. With the 3.3 avoidance changes this hopefully should become a non-issue, but a guardian infernal, or even make it a rain of infernals, like our own Army of the Dead, might make it a nice DPS CD.

You subvert the process of trying to disprove the argument when you attack the person making the argument instead of the argument itself. -Ghostcrawler

i'd give a left-nut for an ability to spread our DoTs from one target to additional targets. it would just be a godsend for affliction locks. its not like its something that we have asked about for AGES.

oh i see... DK's got it. awesome. brb rerolling i guess.

Guys I just can't understand WHY you would want this ability on a shorter cool down. Really i just can't.

I don't use this ability. I just don't.
Why?
Because i don't want to lose my current pet, you know the one i spend all sorts of talents points to buff.

I haven't fought a single lock and any of my charters that has ever used this ability in wotk.
This should tell you something blizz.....but what....?
And part of me knows that you know this ability is not used/is garbage. It's the reason you didn't add a minor glyph to remove the regent cost of this spell.

I find that i have enough buttons. I can't even find room for all the metamorph ones. Speaking of which can you add those as a button set like the shamy's totum bars?

GC as is i don't use this. If it was changed to add an additional demon, via a guardian, i would.
It would be used as a stun and a dps boost.

I think something that would be interesting and may work is giving the Infernal a pet bar if it's the only demon out, but if there's a current demon it doesn't replace, give it the "guardian" AI like Mirror Image has.

I think this might work:
1) A warlock can be any spec to summon a "rent-a-demon"
2) A warlock must be Demonology specced in order for the "rent-a-demon" to not replace the current demon.
3) If the "rent-a-demon" is the only demon out, the warlock cannot summon a second one to join it (but can replace it) unless the warlock is Demonology specced.
4) If the "rent-a-demon" is the only demon out, the rent-a-demon gets a pet bar and can be controlled and given commands.
5) If the "rent-a-demon" is not the only demon out (demo locks only), the "rent-a-demon" functions as a Guardian (like Mirror Image) rather than as a controllable pet. This simulates how a warlock is powerful enough in the ways of the demon to summon more than one demon, but the ability is taxing enough on them that they cannot control and give orders to both. The "rent-a-demon" just kind of follows along and occassionally does whatever it wants, just like how a Frost Mage uses both Water Elemental and Mirror Image concurrently.
6) The ability to have multiple summoned demons is so taxing on the warlocks soul that the warlock loses X% of his/her maximum health every Y seconds as long as multiple demons are out.
7) There could be a Demonology Path of the Titans/Mastery/etc. that improves upon (5) and maybe reduces or eliminates the negative impact of (6).

I don't play a warlock btw. Completely neutral point of view here

This would be fine for the infernal, imo. In pve or pvp I use it as a fire and forget attack anyway. The doomguard has a little more usefulness for its pet bar, so I'd reserve my opinion on it for now.

But, yes, I think infernal would be great to add in as an option similar to mage elementals.

*SPOILER ALERT*

Level 85
Curse of Resilience Will Fix It (Rank 1)
94% of Base Mana---30 yd range
Instant cast

Target's resilience is increased by 500 and armor of caster is reduced by 5% for 2 min. Can only be cast on enemies. Only one Curse per Warlock can be active on any one target.

Yet another level cap, yet another crappy level cap spell. Only this time, there is no cool factor involved. It just flat out kills the warlock purposely.

GC can choose to ignore or post as he pleases, but its not very encouraging to see him make mutipule posts about the Ret QQ, and warlocks still get no word about anything. I mean the DP and TOW issue alone should be an easy problem to address, yet we have not heard anything.

Do not do this.

There are 10 classes in WoW and every one of them has what players perceive as problems, sometimes sky-is-falling problems. If I can't make them all happy with where I post, then you're certainly not going to do it telling me where to post.

If you QQ about where I post or try to dictate which issues I am allowed to respond to, then someone at Blizzard is eventually going to conclude that my posting here causes more problems than it solves. And then it will stop.

If you have issues, please post them. Don't demand answers. Don't bump for answers. Don't give me static if I answer someone else's post instead. For my part, I will try and make posts when I can.
