man that is great for casuals :)
that will definitely get more peeps into the bg q
premades can potentially win every 6-10 minutes so that is about 150 arena points per hour.
take a team of 10 nerds with no RL at all playing 8 hours per day and BLAM! they can get entire sets in a week if they get their arena rating up as well.
still a nice effective time sink though
Girls are like death knights, they get mounts for free and everything comes easy to them...

Hopefully this will actually encourage the morons in my battlegroup to try and win the damn thing rather than fight pointlessly in the middle/refuse to defend and keep moving on in order to cap/RUN RIGHT PAST THE FRIKKING CHOKE POINT!

I hope this means a final end to Blizz' lol "e-sport" fixation on Arenas being the main focus of the game and 'balancing' the whole game, no matter the cost to other aspects of it, around them.

Before they were Afking to buy honor gear so they could do arena to get arena gear.
Now they can just afk and get arena gear.
Yeah. Hopefully this comes combined with a more effective deterrent to AFKing. I still think the best method would be to track how many times in a given day a person is successfully marked as inactive (and maybe increase the duration of the debuff by an extra 30 seconds to compensate), and after a certain point, they receive a 24-hour debuff that stops all honor gains (including wintergrasp and even world PvP.) Put it at a decent number, say 20 inactive marks in a given 24-hour period to prevent griefing.
I'd also suggest lowering the length of the deserter debuff as well. People who are wanting to play the actual game instead of farm kills should not be penalized for leaving the BG in hopes of finding a better one.

Incorrect. This is not the rated Battlegrounds system.
They're talking about awarding arena points for a win - and currently, with no restrictions on how many points per day.
The rated Battlegrounds system would award arena RATING for a win, with a specified maximum rating gain possible in a given week. They are not the same.
