To get your achievement. Everyone is so upset they haven't gotten their achievement yet. We still have plenty of time for the rng to come around. Seriously wait until the event is over and if you don't get the achievement by then go cry to Blizz about it then. I still need the pet myself but I know i got time before this thing is over. My priest got it out of trick or treat bags and my gf beat me on a roll for it *grats to her* -_- but I'm not up in arms about not getting it yet.

tl;dr You still have time, don't cry yet.

You think you know, and you most likely do. This is the diary of a warcraft addict.

People are making comment earlier because the earlier a fix is in place, the more subtle and small that fix can be.

Fix after the holiday: Err, we have a small revolt... hell, just give them the thing to shut them up.

Fix during the holiday: The natives are restless... let's nudge the droprate up a bit, or cut the drop rates on the useless crap from the treat bags a bit, see how that pans out.

Essentially, they could make a small adjustment, never say they changed a thing, yet people could get their drops, and the sort of like to complain of 'casuals' and 'entitled children' and such would never know they had anything to complain about, and thus would be silent.

tl;dr - A change sooner is more likely to make more people happy, in this case, than a change at the end.

Killing means never having to say you're sorry.

They will never be happy until it's handed to them for doing nothing. They will complain until it's a 100% drop rate.

Then when it is others will complain. No matter what is done Blizz can't win and the complaining won't stop.

Yes people, Barney and the Teletubbies lied to you.

That's not it. I don't mind working towards an achievement.

I just want to know my work will eventually pay off.

I can't say what I want to
Even if I'm not serious.

Just got my meta after starting the holiday with no achievements, yay.

Which of the following will I do?
A. Give you up. B. Let you down.
C. Run around. D. Desert you.
E. None of the above.

We, speaking for those who haven't been lucky on the drops yet, are doing something. We are visiting the Innkeepers. We are smashing the pumpkin. We are OMFGPWNing the Headless Horseman. Please stop saying we just want it handed to us. It's just a shame that someone out there isn't going to get the achievement simply based on bad luck. Just my two cents.

Slow and steady wins the race.

I only managed to finish and get my title a day ago after waiting to complete it since last year. Let's just say, I ran into my own bad luck on drops and rolls. But at least I got the mount last year. ;)

I got The Hallowed title last year so I had my proto drake at the end of Brewfest. What I'm curious about is how people would feel if raid bosses dropped predetermined loot? I know killing a boss a few times without getting the drop can get frustrating, but if every boss dropped its entire loot table ever time, raiding would be BORING.

I feel the same is true of the holiday achievements. Sure missing out on the title because of poor RNG would suck, but I'm willing to be the holiday would be far more boring if everyone was guaranteed to have the title by the end of the holiday period. It would foster a feeling of "I don't even need to try and play my luck to get this, I just log in and complete the achievement."

And for those who end up not getting the title: it's not going away. Sure you might have to wait another year, but you will get it. And before you complain, "but it's a 310% speed mount," the difference in flight speed is almost unnoticeable. The only time it's an advantage is over long distances. Flying from Dalaran to Ulduar gets me there maybe a second or two before someone who flies with me. The speed of the mount should not be a factor in wanting to achieve it.

Complain early; Complain often. Because Blizzard is like a parent, they're not interested in justice, they just want QUIET!

This is my second year of trying for the sinister squashling. I'm to the point now where I'm setting an alarm to wake up every hour all night long, thus barely getting any sleep, and I'm sneaking on during work so I can trick or treat. No luck. This achievement is ridiculous and your reasoning that it makes you feel better about your achievement if I don't get mine is absurd.

I'd suggest getting some rest and trying your luck with the Headless Horseman along with trick-or-treating. You should have a better chance of success then. Otherwise, please please take care of yourself. You still have time.

There is a precident for people coming up short on this one achievement. Remember last year?

I think I'll get that Hallowed Helm eventually, but I can't say that I'm super confident. In about 150 trick or treats among all my alts I've seen the Helm once (go figure it was on my 29 mage that I haven't played in 2 years). So the drop rate for TOT-ing is awful and I likely wont get it there.

Where my hope lies is the HH boss. I've only seen it drop once in 26 kills, but from what I have heard it normally will drop a bit more often. So I'm thinking I'll have some more chances to roll on it.

I was lucky enough to finish my achievement last year. Got the pet literally about 10 minutes before the event ended.

This year, I've done nothing but the headless horseman and trick or treated a few times. Seen every possible drop from horseman so far, lost the roll on his mount. Helm seems to be more rare than the pet for me so far. Seen helm 3 times and pet 5-6 times.

I understand I've been pretty lucky with my drop rates compared to RNG for some others.

Maybe some day. Perhaps you could hold down the question mark key while you wait.

couldn't you just, you know, create the item on your character or make it drop?

Nope. I get everything I get in game the same as anyone else.

CMs don't get in game privileges as far as I'm aware.

Edit: Neth is faster than me.

I've killed the headless horseman at least 5 times a day so far since the holiday began. Including 7 kills between midnight and 3 on opening day, and then another 5 kills the same day after dailies reset.

2 years and I've only ever seen the helm drop once (lost the roll)

GG RNG and achievements that take +3 years for some and 10 minutes for others.
