In Trial of the Crusader, the ground floor is broken by the Lich King in the last phase of the raid. This floor is relatively thin, only a few feet deep. This raises the question, how were the two jormungar able to tunnel completely into the ground? Am I missing some key detail, or is that fact of tunneling depth ignored by blizzard?

They were simply burrowing through the ground and then crawling around on the cave ceiling.

The floor looks more like it's a couple meters thick. Also put your imagination in and assume that the soft structure that the lich king was able to pierce through was because the Jormungar had softened the structure a bit and pieces had fallen off during that fight.

The floor is a lie. Why do you think grounded AoE spell images don't show up when you're in the star shape thing.

You would think that they would have found out when preparing the foundation for the Colosseum.

Still, assuming the jormungars weakened it, could the size of both of those worms fit within those few meters and move around with such force?

I don't think they had time to really lay the ground work to ensure that no Ancient nerubian empire was beneath their foundation. Especially when you're probably rushing to set up a structure in contested homeland of your enemy.

How does a bird from scholzar drop a green axe twice it's size?

Answer: it's a video game. Who cares about physics.

What foundation? They built stands for the spectators and a few staircases. All they would need is bricks and wood supports. Hell, the floor is mostly dirt except for the seal of the Argent Cruade in the middle of the floor.

Also, while the coliseum was being built, goblins were brought in as contractors. Need I say more about that?

If only the goblins were packing ground penetrating radar or a licensed soils engineer...

Tirion should sue for malpractice. I hope those goblins have Gieco.

The OP of this thread has asked the same question that has been boggling me for some time. The best explanation that I could come up with is that there actually is a pretty thick floor when you're fighting the Jormungars, and then the Nerubians dig out the final part of the floor between the time you kill the worms and the time you kill the Twins.

As for all of you saying "Lulz its a game, who cares", you'd be surprised how entertaining it can be to try to find logical explanations for illogical events when you're bored.

Agreed! It's possible a lot changes in the preparation before Aub.

I hadn't thought of that...

also as for the second part of your post, I agree completely. Its not all just, "This happens so i must accept that it happens and not think individually."

Oh, he definitely had an actual answer. In fact, he had the only answer that isn't make-believe.

If you haven't already suspended 90% or more of your disbelief by the time you even set FOOT inside that instance, you're doing it wrong.

Arthas is very proud. He'd allow them to build the tournament grounds just to prove how futile it is.

What doesn't make sense is that he appears in front of EVERY SINGLE POWERFUL PERSON PRESENT AS WELL AS A HANDFUL OF POWERFUL ADVENTURES, and not a soul does anything to stop him. Seriously, Why didn't everyone in those stands (save Jaina, who probably still thinks he can be saved) bumrush him and beat him to death?
