Won't happen, and you shouldn't be too worried about ICC over work. RL>WoW though I am excited to fight the Lich King ^_^

Sorry, but we don't generally give advanced warning. I know this will come as a surprise when talking about complex code ;p but, until everything is signed off as ready to go, it's not actually ready to go and we like to make sure we're giving out the most accurate information that we can.

I dont mind a lack of release dates, I find it irritating that usually the first place I read about a patch going live is mmo champion. For 3.2, nothing concrete was said prior to the extended maintenance.

That's taking "we aren't 100% sure" a little far, isnt it? Surely you can post in the wee hours before the maintenance during which the patch is deployed..?

MMO Champion is allowed to be wrong.

If Blizzard announced and then decided the patch needed another week of debugging--they'd never hear the end of it. Ever.

As indicated above, patch days can be messy. It's best we don't all try and cram ourselves into the content the second the patch is live.

In 5 years they have never confirmed a patch date. I don't imagine this changing soon.

Also, patch-day is the worst possible day to take off work to play. The servers will be down all morning, and if the recent patches are any indication, all afternoon, and most of the evening as well.
