Please stop posting in gearscore threads you clearly primarily play a caster.
For a caster getting Gears from emblems is enough to be considered viable for raids
For melee it is not simple because we do not have access to weapons.
A warrior/dk/paladin with a weapon below the ilvl of 226 is not getting into Toc10/25 you know it as well as I do.
Bloodied arcanite reaper the Axe from Hol or even the swords from Ebon blade or argent are simply not enough for melee even if the rest of there gear is the 232 t9
I run level 80's on multiple servers (not just toons on this account)
Nobody runs naxx anymore
nobody runs ulduar anymore unless it is for hardmodes
Toc10 does not drop weapons
This game is blatantly balanced toward casters because they not only take less overall damage but because the weapon does not equate to such a huge dps jump for them.
Blizzard purpesly places all the weapon upgrades at the very end of instances and they balance around this so as melee dps we see something that looks like this
Fail/fail/fail/BOOM/caster whining
Then with every expansion we see a quote from blizzard saying how overpowered melee were at the end of a expansion but they never take note of how badly melee sucked as pve dps for the first 3/4ths of that same expansion.
My main being a warrior this system effects me more than most I will admit because damage = rage so I pretty much ride the fail train until I get the very best weapons released in a expansion and then I blow past everybody else so I can feel like I contribute something for 2 months until the new xpac comes out and my class reverts to pure fail.
Simply put I dunno who you guys listen to regarding warrior balance but he must be a god with a very modest attitude surrounded by noobs who play casters going gimme gimme gimme.
Does not surprise me though everytime I see a caster say the words worldofmeleecraft because there butthurt a rogue or a overpowered dk beat them I just want to start kicking kittens.

For the record, the alt I've been referring to in threads today is a death knight. My main is a warlock, but I've geared up my melee character faster than I did my caster.
