buff the old world reps, screw the new ones they are easy to lvl.

becuase lvling for example Argent Dawn is a pain.

How about instead of making already-easy-to-obtain reps even easier, you make WSG/AB rep not take longer than "the insane?"

Just a thought.

It is? Strath followed by Strath followed by Strath followed by Strath. Rinse and repeat. My paladin casually hit exalted with AD after a few runs farming for baron's mount.

Q u o t e:

I'm somewhat amblivalet myself. Reputation grinds aren't exactly the most...how to phrase this delicately...Enjoyable? Yeah "enjoyable" of experiences.

That being said, if you make all commendations BoA and require that faction already be exalted in order to be purchased, then I'd be game for that. You would have to get faction to exalted via normal means at least once, but then you can inexpensively and easily get it to exalted with all your characters.

Grinding 7 different factions to exalted over...and over...and over for every single alt? Not cool. I know it, most players know it...and I'm fairly sure you know it too.

This kinda change i can support because it still requires the player to have put some effort into getting the rep at some point , for people with many alts its understandable to be annoyed by it

but giving fresh 80's or lazy mains who still aren't exalted such SUPER EASY access to rep with commendations for 1 badge doesn't seem right

Sons of Hodir exalted cost 2.1k gold. Hardly a big deal. The Argent Tournament grind to crusader may take a while, true, but it's also something like 200g a day, for 20 minutes of playtime. Hardly a big deal.

While some degree of BoA content is reasonable, too much just gets ridiculous. Grats--you have an 80. That doesn't mean you shouldn't have to put a reasonable amount of time into 80 alts before they're decked out.

Edit: I find it very ironic that my first post to get a direct blue response is one not only disagreeing with a previous blue post, but doing so with a fairly condescending tone, no evidence whatsoever, and offering a subjective argument. (As opposed to the posts I've made over the years which offered real analysis to highlight a factual point, presented politely.)

On *sort* of a similar note (since many simply level reps for the Achievement), has there been much thought given to aggregated Achievement scores across toons? I'm not sure if aggregate is the word I'm looking for, rather the score that you would get if you avoided double/triple etc. counting. So for instance, if you raided on one character for an expansion but raided on another for a separate expansion, a system that captures the raiding achievements of each but doesn't double dip on stuff like "Level 80", etc.

Ok- so here's the deal.

I did that dumb grind on my priest. I now have a lvl 80 hunter, druid, and warrior that i'd like to gear up. While its fun to put a price tag on the rep gains, it adds up fast when you count the alts.
-AND-
I'm not wasting my time doing the grind x3 for the toons, I'd rather stop playing them instead. This new change makes it awesome for all my alliance toons to catch up with the priest, who I'm sick of playing atm.

If you don't like the change, feel free to spend 2.1k for all your alts, and grind the argent rep the hard way. The rest of us will gladly accept this change.

How about addressing my point about making reps that are currently a ridiculous grind into something manageable, since you are already making reps that already are fast to grind even easier.

Please?

Decking out an alt should take a lot of skill and not a lot of grinding.

I have alts that have the Rusted Proto drakes w/ ToGC10 weapons.. and no hodir enchants.

This is because I'd rather play the game where I kill bosses rather than play the AH or do quests.

But homophobia remains the one form of bigotry that respectable people can express in public.

thats fine and all , but you gotta relize their boosting the rep by 30% to begin with , AND their making son of hodir dailies give EVEN more rep, thats a pretty large increase in rep by its self

adding rep commendations makes it just WAY WAY too easy to get rep to the point where you might as well be able to by the rep items regardless of your rep

in your case you want the rep for your alts , which is why i would support rep commendations you buy FROM sons of hodir if your main is exalted that are BoA and can give to alts for faster rep gains for people who have already put effort into the rep on their main

I'm less concerned with the price tag in gold, and more concerned with the price tag of $25/$30/$55 to use the current bind on account system with alts that aren't on the same server/faction/account. If we're going to be getting an improvement to BoA items in the same patch, though, it will be much less of a concern.

I have mixed feeling on the badges for rep concept. I have to agree with other people, at this point people should have to spend time grinding those reps on there toons instead of using a lvl 80 main to get alts fully exalted. I suppose maybe putting in the option for using commendations to get up to friendly or honored would be okay.

Now I would love to see you guys make the some of the old world rep and BC grinds quicker and more accessible. There are several factions where you can only get rep once a week if you run a raid and some of those raids can't be soloed by any class, the few that one can solo require you do so as tank. I would also like to second some improvements to the PvP rep grinds as well.
