Remove blood elves. Horde paladins are now Orcs. Cause I say so.
Remove the mob-3-levels-below-you-dazing-you-off-your-mount-in-one-hit-even-though-you're-in-def-plate bullsh*t.
Buff disc priest throughput via GH or FH.
Put Ret paladins on a strike system with ramp-up time.
Build a tunnel outside IF leading to Menethil. Yes, this means you do have to fall off the mountain and swim.
Come up with something cooler than Goblins for the Horde.
Drastically buff Dwarf racials.
As part of character creation, add in a selection screen of a series of different UI options that include many of the most popular addon properties: HUDs, movable action bars, tooltip improvements, and easily-read raid UI.
Add a wider variety of hair styles and colors to the barber shop. I WANT A SNAZZY BEARD!
Dwarf shaman totems are kegs.
Warlocks get green fire.
Ban gearscore and add a tip at the load-in screen that reminds players that the first tier of raiding was toppled by people in quest rewards and heroic blues.
If a stat is plastered all over a class's gear (I'm looking at you, haste), I will make sure the class is able to make adequate use of said stat.
Have a more dramatic landscape, but increase player mobility up steep slopes--encouraging levitate and slowfall use.

Tweak classes so any spec can be competitive in DPS without buffing PvP. ex: More spells with old exorcism and the CoD mechanic of NPC-only uses. It definitely does not take away from the game, and it lets people be better in PvE while not stomping in PvP.

Since i'm most familar with hunters, how about streamlining some hunter abilities so if you mess up a bit in PvP it won't be such a huge downslide after it.

- Revamped dispel system so core class/spec survivability cannot be dispelled before it even benefits the user

- Consolidated stats (spell power based off of Intellect, etc.)

- Pet scaling

Oh, look at that! Blizzard's already looking into these things.

And now for something not already being addressed:

Give caster DPS specs "Concentration Aura Mastery" type abilities, only on shorter cooldowns, shorter duration (maybe only one cast), and only effect the caster. 100% spell pushback protection would also be good to include, I think. It may be a homogenization sort of thing, but there are just times that you need to cast a spell without worry of interrupt. Even a 1 minute cooldown on this sort of ability would be really, really cool IMO.

I hope this gets quoted a million times.

Nothing would do this game a better justice than once and for all admitting that PVP and PVE in their current forms cannot COEXIST in the same space in terms of class mechanics. It will never work in this game. The sooner they seperate a GOOD number of skills PvE vs PvP functions the sooner we can move towards being as close to balanced as an MMO could possibly be.

PVP nerfs effecting PvE

PVE nerfs effecting PVP

has this game stuck in a spin cycle of up and down. There was a time that blizzard made a huge decision, to stop buffing and nerfing over long stretches of time, and instead implement change where it needed to be done far more quickly. They have held to it, and its a phenomenal change. Changing their stance on the above would be a shift of equal magnitude. The changes to class effecting the other side is pretty much the ONLY thing the entire WoW gamebase is likely to agree sucks. And considering human nature, personal biases and such, thats a pretty amazing feat.

This floats above any other change that could possibly be suggested. Because noones wish for their class to be better at this, or have better art there, or have a new skill here, or be stronger there; will supercede the positive effects such a change would have on all classes simultaneously.

Seriously though.

I would do the following.

1. Allow for casual play in BG's to get you geared. If Arena must be N, Rated BGs are N-0.5, and BG's are N-1. Currently BGs are N-2, and thats not good enough. This leads to....

2. Stop with the MASSIVE gear inflation between content patches. You shouldnt look at the next zone and have everything be an insane upgrade.

3. Bring back 8 pc sets.

4. Allow for fun trinkets from PvP. Why cant you get Dark Matter or a Mjolnir Runestone from PvP?

5. Bring back the pre 3.0 buff system. Yeah it wont happen, but you killed the soul of this game.

6. If you dont go with 5, everyones DPS must be equal, sorry, anything less is an injustice.

Give shaman an ability to activate another totem but i would only affect them (if in a party) or a party (if in raid). This way i'm not having to choose between my ToW or the other fire totems , because that's making it hard to raid when one of the only buffs we scale with cannot be used with other fire totems when the situation calls for it.

A few class specifics:

Druids
-Moonkin form, removed from the game in favor of a strong DPS cooldown perhaps, or something much more dynamic ( perhaps a temporary form that was less ugly than a moonkin ), spreading around all of the secondary effects to the rest of the tree.

Warlock
-Remove the felguard from the game in favor of a talent that naturally improved pet survivability and damage
-Redesign Demonic Empowerment to be more effective, some of the pets have questionable bonuses with the ability....
-Make meta permanent or near permanent OR expand upon the spell to offer things like +haste and an SP->AP conversion to synergize better with shadowcleave and the charge


I think you deserve a little credit. No one's ever dodged that shot of mine.. But nobody gets lucky twice, either!
