So these new arragont goblins are going to be introduced in next xpac & 2nd starting zone will be in Azshara. With all the hype of this new implementation... what happens to all the history (structures, ruins, etc..)?

Yeah, I agree. It also kinda sucks that now we'll likely never see the Azshara battleground that's been in the game yet unreleased forever now.

So many ghosts and howling spirits evicted...

Well I remember when I strolled through there on my first toon. The place was so empty with lots of ruins, naga, and questions. I liked having places in game where you just had to ask: "What is the meaning behind all this!? Like Uldum, Hyjal, and TONS of other places.

I love lore and I'm very unhappy that they decided to do this. It better be worth it.

Who says all that stuff is gone? Mabye everything is just a lower level.

They're turning a mostly unused and avoided zone into a zone that everyone will want to see.

I don't see a problem with this. Likely they'll just add more quests to it, a little town on the sea shore, and lower the levels of the mobs.

Kind of has me wondering where the Alliance dragonscale leatherworking trainer is going to move.

Is there any official word on what will become of the Azshara Crater? I would have loved to see another BG instance, especially one with the beautiful scenery of Azshara.

If you really love lore, then you will love the fact that the story is evolving and all the old areas are being born anew.

It's the best looking zone in the game, it really deserves some love.

Don't get me wrong, Azshara always felt somewhat empty to me, but there's a lot of stuff that I am sure I'm going to miss when Cataclysm makes all of these changes. I know the whole world is changing, but there is definitely some nostalgia about the old content.

Maybe they'll just move it to Winterspring? But good point!

Yeah i agree, after reading the story of illidan his brother and the 10k war in the three books i would love to see something done with azshara.

There is a lot of lore behind the zone that hasnt been brought into the game and i know for a fact lots of people would like a reason to go there. Especially considering there is only like...4 quest chains, not exactly a powerleveling kinda place. GO BLIZZ, next job: Hyjal!!

Drops like that won't ever be removed. If anything, the mob they drop from will change (maybe to the Winterspring blue dragonkin) or the level of the dragonkin in Azshara will go down.
