I don't really plan on getting banned... so I don't really care.

Also, you can always make different bnet accounts for different games. You DO have more than 1 email address, yes?

Then how is this post relevant? Does Blizzard = Turbine in your world?

Because turbine did the same thing as blizzard is doing now.

Turbine combined all of their games into 1 login feature.

you can login to ALL of their games through the same login username.

So yes, it is relevant.

Too much hyperbole.. You will not get a permaban for swearing occasionally. Move along folks.

Fine fine, it isnt a permaban.

ITS A 72 HOUR BAN.

And from every other game you own.

Also something to point out, If its that big of a deal for you then use a different email address for every blizzard game you have. Vipez@Gmail.com, Vipez@yahoo.com, Vipez@hotmail.com, etc. Hell even, VipezWorldofwarcraft@gmail.com, Vipezwarcraft3@gmail.com, Vipezdiablo2@gmail.com, Vipezstarcraft@gmail.com

Money creates arrogance. It is the bastard child of money, and capitalism is the bastard child of arrogance and money.

Agreed

..or does arrogance create gluttony and therefore a need for "more" (including money)? It's an argument of semantics, we can go all day.

Ok first off from blizzards stand point having all games tied to one account helps them help you, since they dont have millions more accounts to have to keep track of.

Second, you are playing a game, a game licensed by a company, if you play said game then you give up said rights according to the EULA that you must sign to play, in doing so you are in fact stating that you will abide by the rules outlined (even if you dont agree with some or even know what some of them are) so to say that its unfair for you to break the rules in one game and not get punished by another is lunacy, thats like saying if you walked into harrah's in tahoe and cheated at something that its unfair for harry's to deny you the right to play at their casino (they are owned by the same controlling company). I could draw this same comparison many other places but i hope you see the point (which is, if you want to do something that will get you banned you must consider the full consequences of your actions)

and ALL of this is also in addition to the people that hate having to remember and write down (comprising there own security) all the usernames and passwords to the different bizzard titles they have.

Hunter's pet can see me from a mile away, but can they see why kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch?

Battle.net accounts do not get banned themselves, only an individual account and the game associated with the action is banned.

I'm not really seeing the downside of jerks and botters getting blocked from all Blizzard games at the same time.

People who aren't jerks or botters really don't have to worry about being perma-banned.

You subvert the process of trying to disprove the argument when you attack the person making the argument instead of the argument itself. -Ghostcrawler

pretty sure i read, way back when B-net was first released, that if you get banned from one game you can still play your other games.

Then take his own advice and protest by quitting. That'll show em!

I've played since release and have never been banned - I don't really think it is THAT difficult to fall the terms you agreed to..

So if I decide to waiver my chance to be one of the hive,
Will I choose water over wine and hold my own and drive?

it isn't about getting banned or not getting banned, its about not giving control to blizzard to EVER have that luxury of being able to do it.
Then cancel your account and don't buy any more Blizzard products.

Problem solved.

The way Battle.net accounts are currently set up, if you receive a suspension on a World of Warcraft account attached to that Battle.net account, it has no affect on any other World of Warcraft accounts that may also be attached.
