Q u o t e: We were concerned that a really short cooldown on an ability that rezzes you and only rezzes you would lead to bizarre behavior. Shamans could just commit suicide every fight knowing that they could come back. Standing in the fire too long? No problem. Too far away from where you want to be? Just die. Out of mana? Just die. Yes you might lose dps or healing time, but we still think it would happen and we think it would look weird.
Soulstone by comparison can easily be used on the "wrong" person (if they don't die) and Rebirth can't be used at all if the druid dies. In some ways, Reincarnation is the only cooldown that you are guaranteed to see every fight as soon as it becomes that dependable.
When you reincarnate you dont come back with mana xD you come back with low hp and mana, plus you lose all your buffs.. lol i dont really see a positive side to this xD. And on a 30min cd we wouldnt be killing ourself every fight. First off, why would we xD? If anything it would make sense that a unique spell to only one given class be useful? We would use it to come back from the dead to help finish the boss if we died whether it be from in-sufficient heals on us.... *cough* "AHEM our lacking defensive abilities to survive in any given case in a raid?" =). And you said if we were on the wrong side of the map just die? Yea so when we rez right where we died...... we are still in the EXACT same spot we died??? hehe I dont understand the reasons given
Edit: fixed my stupidty on amount of HP and mana from reincar u get
Q u o t e: is that what you do in your raids? You soulstone the shaman and if he dies twice, your raid leader tells your druid to brez him? I take it you don't soulstone your druids to insure your brez?
This guild you run with, are they out of kara yet?
The worry is that these rez abilities are going to be spammed whenever they are off CD, and that you can possibly have all of these rez abilities all over the raid for every fight. If they add in a “Rez CD” that you can’t be rezzed by these methods for more than once for each fight, then the “Issue” becomes less of a problem, making it more likely that the CD of Reincarnation will come down.
The only advantage Reincarnation has over a soulstone is that we don't have to re-cast it every 15 minutes to keep the "buff". It has a distinct disadvantage compared to soulstone in that we can only use it on ourselves - a soulstone can be cast on somebody else in your group if you think they're more likely to die than you are.
The functionality of the two for the person who dies is essentially identical from there. Given that, I don't see why it should have a cooldown any longer than Soulstone has.

Are you kidding me? Yea, I'm gonna suicide every fight so I can lose ALL my buffs, come back with barely any health and mana, and add to my repair bill! Too far away from where you want to be and just die? How does that even make sense? You self rez right where you die, so all you did was add to your repair bill!
This rational is pure crap and another slap in the face of shaman.

I said I was going to spend less time trying to point out to players when their posts crossed the line from helpful to junk. Instead we're just going to lock threads that have become nothing but venting and bashing.
