Haha, i think this tread makes me want to take this character out of retirment. I remember the large death-toll of using AoE. And also the power of kiting..

Played a little during the classic beta, then created an account and have played since the day the game launched. I started on Argent Dawn but due to the crowds rerolled on Earthen Ring as soon as it opened. That char is still my main and the game is still fun - thanks, Blizz!

I've been playing since the Stress Test before the original Open Beta, if I have my timeline right. My account was created on Dec 25th, a month after launch, because the significant-other and I decided to give WoW to each other for Christmas. Looking back, we should have just started on launch day ;) Ah well.
My original main was a tanking warrior, bit of a raider, classically trained. ;)

Played a Hunter since day 1, release day. Well, tried too, since servers were a bit unstable at that time. I think we got like a couple weeks of extra game time for free, because of that.
I switched to a DK as a main shortly after WotLK.
I did take a few months off in the Burning Crusade. I had nothing to progress to. I didn't want to do 4-6 hour raids on Friday and Saturday nights... or any night for that matter.
There was no solo content, heroics where really the thing they are now.
I came back for before Sunwell but switched servers to play with friends.
WotLK has drastically changed how much stuff you can do a solo person or casual. It's been a great change for the better. I've done more raiding haven raided Naxx, Ulduar, OS, and ToGC and still feel I've not had to give up as much as I use to (I still hate Molten Core because of the burn out I had on it).
