Q u o t e:

Try keybinding, start working it in. You will notice the difference between the two, with quicker reaction times and such.

cause you can out react the 1.5 secs GCD am i right?

i have 1/2 my abilities bind and rest i click

when i do click my finger is jamming it waiting for the GCD

i hate keybinders and how they think they are vastly superior to clickers....news flash this isnt a FPS

Q u o t e:
CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK

I find it indefinitely faster to keybind than click. I myself will admit I clicked, 2 years ago. Ever since then though I would never go without keybinding. Even on the PTR with new characters I keybind.

It's not hard, and even if you somehow have a learning disability and can't use the default UI keybinding interface you can get addons. There is no excuse.

Actually, I take that back, clicking is faster, I need wrecking ball on yet another character.

Heck I click most of the night before. And then I clicked this morning. Have spells and pet macros in the #2 bar for dailies so I can click, drink coffee and take a smoke. Just stand in one spot and send your pet to get mobs for you.

Clicking is fine. This game, not even PvP, is not so difficult that every single action needs to be bound to a key. If you prefer to keybind, great, I'm happy for you, play how you want. I'm playing how I want. I perform excellently by clicking, both in PvP and PvE content (dps, healer, and tank).

No you dont, and if you think you do, its because you dont play with people that key bind. Continue doing what your doing, but as an above poster said...Thanks for the free Hk's.

It has nothing to do with reaction time...You have to take your eyes off the action to look at were your mouse is. Guess what, in the 1.5 seconds you looked away, i just killed you on my lock with a immo/conflag, and you didnt even know it was happening, much less react to stop me.

I have `, Q, and E bound to the bottom left action bar and tend to save them for "Oh $&^*" buttons. I use 1 through 6 or 7 by keyboard. Anything beyond 6 or 7 is generally not something I find vastly important, and click it when I need to. It works out fine. I should probably set up a few macros but I haven't bothered to.. I don't think they are as necessary for me as they would be for, say, a Druid or some other class with a crapload of abilities.

edit: changed my example.

While I keybind... I think if you can't see your action bar (cool downs etc) to click and monitor what's happening on the screen at the same time, you might need to practice more.

At any case, at times when I click, I don't need to focus on my action bar or mouse pointer. I know where it is just like the keys below my fingers. It comes with experience.

Q u o t e:
Several interesting points I would like to address:

HK's -- Can't kill me if I'm not flagged?

Rotation - I don't use a rotation, it's a priority system. So I can't press 1,2,3,4,5. Sometimes it's 1,5,3,2 other times it's 2,4,2,1

Haviing to look down to click? I have my entire screen in view at all times, and am able to take it in all at once. It's like speed reading, you don't read a word or a sentence at a time, but more like a paragraph at a time.

Hk's -- same goes for pve, you look away from your screen, and koralon drops fire on your ass, better hope that healer isnt clicking so he can make up for your failure and save your ass.

Your still proving my point by admiting you do have to look away even if its to "speed read" the button or position. Less time focusing on action, more time clicking buttons.

It has nothing to do with speed (although clicking is slower), and everything to do with situational awareness. Your situational awareness goes down when you have to stop looking at your character and look at your action bars.

Thanks for the free HKs and repair bills because you can't stay out of fires

People should play how they feel most comfortable. If someone is a faster clicker and it makes sense to them, then that's fine. If someone loves making macros and keybinds, that's fine too. Neither is better than the other and many people even combine the two depending on the circumstance. It's about playing within your comfort zone. That's not to say that complacency is good. Trying new things will help broaden playstyle and make it more clear as to whether one will fit you better than another. But lambasting others for a choice in how they play is never productive or constructive.

The only way to lift other players up is to give them the chance to learn without fear of being put down for their mistakes.
