The tier-10 set bonuses have recently been released on the PTR and we would like to get your feedback on each of them. The items will soon be available on the PTR for additional testing, but we welcome your initial impressions and theory crafting thoughts as well.

To properly organize feedback, please format responses as:

[CLASS]:[SPEC]
2 piece – [Feedback]
4 piece – [Feedback]


Here is a list of the current planned set bonuses for DPS roles:

Death Knight
  • 2 piece bonus - Your Obliterate and Scourge Strike abilities deal 10% increased damage., and your Heart Strike ability deals 7% increased damage.
  • 4 piece bonus - Whenever all your runes are on cooldown, you gain 3% increased damage done with weapons, spells, and abilities for the next 15 second.


Druid - Balance
  • 2 piece bonus - When you gain Clearcasting from your Omen of Clarity talent, you deal 15% additional Nature and Arcane damage for 6 seconds.
  • 4 piece bonus - Your critical strikes from Starfire and Wrath cause the target languish for an additional 5% of your spell's damage over 4 seconds.


Druid - Feral
  • 2 piece bonus - Your Swipe (Bear) and Lacerate abilities deal 20% additional damage and the cost of your Rip ability is reduced by 10 energy.
  • 4 piece bonus - Your Enrage ability no longer decreases your armor and instead decreases all damage taken by 12%, and the periodic damage done by your Rake ability can now be a critical strike.


Hunter
  • 2 piece bonus - Your Auto Shots have a 5% chance to cause you and your pet to deal 15% additional damage for until cancelled.
  • 4 piece bonus - When your Viper Sting, Serpent Sting, and Wyvern Sting abilities deal damage, you have a 5% chance to gain 20% attack power for 10 seconds.


Mage
  • 2 piece bonus - Your Hot Streak, Missile Barrage, and Brain Freeze talents also grant you 12% haste for 5 seconds when the effect of the talent is consumed.
  • 4 piece bonus - Your Mirror Image ability also causes you to deal 18% additional damage for 30 seconds.


Paladin
  • 2 piece bonus - Your melee attacks have a 40% chance to reset the cooldown on your Divine Storm ability.
  • 4 piece bonus - Your Seals and Judgements deal 10% additional damage.


Priest
  • 2 piece bonus - The critical strike chance of your Shadow Word: Pain, Devouring Plague, and Vampiric Touch spells is increased by 5%.
  • 4 piece bonus - Reduces the channel duration and period of your Mind Flay spell by 0.5 seconds.


Rogue
  • 2 piece bonus - Your Tricks of the Trade ability now grants you 15 energy instead of costing energy.
  • 4 piece bonus - Gives your melee finishing moves a 13% chance to add 3 combo points to your target.


Shaman – Elemental
  • 2 piece bonus - Your Lightning Bolt spell reduces the remaining cooldown on your Elemental Mastery talent by 1 second.
  • 4 piece bonus - The cooldown on your Lava Burst ability is reduced by 1.5 seconds.


Shaman – Enhancement
  • 2 piece bonus - When you activate your Shamanistic Rage ability you also deal 12% additional damage for 15 second.
  • 4 piece bonus - Each time the beneficial effect of your Maelstrom Weapon talent reaches 5 charges, you have a 15% chance to gain 20% attack power for 10 second.


Warlock
  • 2 piece bonus - The critical strike chance of your Shadowbolt, Incinerate, Soulfire, and Corruption spells is increased by 5%.
  • 4 piece bonus - Each time your Immolate and Unstable Affliction spells deal periodic damage, you have a 15% chance to gain 10% damage done by you and your pet for 10 seconds.


Warrior
  • 2 piece bonus - When your Deep Wounds ability deals damage you have a 3% chance to gain 20% attack power for 10 seconds.
  • 4 piece bonus - You have a 30% chance for your Bloodsurge and Sudden Death talents to grant 2 charges of their effect instead of 1, reduce the global cooldown on Execute or Slam by 0.5 seconds, and for the duration of the effect to be increased by 100%.

Mage : ANY

-The 2pc bonus quite literally does nothing for us since MI is used as either a threat dump or a minor dps increase when a situation is kind of rough.

-The 4pc bonus is not bad but with a 3 sec timer it is pretty unreasonable. Maybe increasing the timer to 6 sec and knocking the buff down to 8-10% would be much more effective.

These set bonus make me think you should just copy and paste the bonus from Tier 9 onto the Tier 10 sets, becasue as they stand now they are really not up to what they should be.

2 piece – GCD reduced it means 8.5 seconds of 15% incresed damage.On a 3 min CD. That's terrible, since you're forcing MI use whenever it's up.
4 piece – 3 seconds? REALLY?

Characters: Lvl 80 Paladin, 80 Mage, 80 Hunter, 80 Warrior, 80 Priest, 80 Death Knight, 80 Shaman, 64 Rogue, 34 Druid.

Druid - balance 4 piece

seems pointless to me. with the buffs being on different cooldowns, reducing the cooldown by 6 secs wont make a difference.

I would like to see something done with wrath.

T7 it was insect swarm and then starfire and wrath
t8 is was eclipse and starfire
t9 it was moonfire and then again starfire and wrath
t10 clearcasting (resto talent?!) and back to eclipse.

how bout something where chance on wrath hit, to consume IS dmg and deal it immediately or something?

Druid - Balance
2pc: Based off another proc, and making us go resto (though admittedly most of us get OoC) it just seems odd to force that upon us. Starting math seems a bit low on dps.
4pc: Im sorry... I fail to see how this is a dps increase in anyway...

Are you planning on changing eclipse again?

Paladin:Retribution
2-piece: wicked nice passive bonus.
4-piece: depends what procs the cooldown-reset. If it's Crusader Strike, Auto-attack, and Divine Storm it may be a little lackluster due to being only a 4% proc rate. If it the previously mentioned abilities along with Judgments and Righteous Vengeance ticks, then I think the proc rate is appropriate as this ability, like the current 2-piece of Tier-9, affects the actual priority list of abilities for our spec.

Apparently I'm "haughty."

Shaman Elemental:
2 - Piece: I assume this means that if I use Elem. Mastery, and the CD remaining is 2?3? minutes, then each time I cast a LB it's reduced by 1 second, stacking. In which case it's interesting, a fun mechanic. I like the idea, though I don't know how powerful it is.

4 - Piece: 15 seconds off an 8 second CD?

Shaman Enhancement:
2 - Piece: I like this, as SR has gone from a needed mana CD to a defensive CD. Now I am forced to really choose between using it as an offensive CD, or defensive. That's cool, in my mind.
4 - Piece: I feel like this is a way to force enh shaman to use 5 stack MW, instead of 3-4 stacks, which lowers some of the skill cap, but makes it less latency dependent. I'm not sure how I feel about this.

2 Piece: Seems a little powerful for a 2 set. 10% extra damage on Judgements AND Seals? i guess we'll have to see how damage scales or changes in the patch, but Ret seems to be very competitive now a days. It will require me to actually test it i suppose.

4 Piece: Sorry, but i hate it. Sure, it will add more skill to the class in theory, but Divine Storm is our third priority attack, unless I'm dropping consecrate I'll most likely just be continuing my rotation as normal. But the major reason this 4 piece is bad is because it will cause even more GCD clashes, something Ret doesn't need more of. As I said, in theory it should add skill but I think in practice it's just going to make Ret more spam happy.

2 piece –awful, OOC isn't a balance talent although many pick it up. seems to be theorycrafted at a completely garbage dps gain so far
4 piece – pretty sure this is a 0 dps gain as we can already have eclipse proc'd for 100% of the time.

I will not stay balance if these are final.

EDIT FOR NEW BONUS:
4 piece bonus - Your critical strikes from Starfire and Wrath cause the target languish for an additional 5% of your spell's damage over 4 seconds.

so we get 5% extra damage on spells that do ~75% of our total damage whenever it crits which ranges between 40 -85% of the time. this sounds like a massive dps boost.........................

2 piece – [Seems very unique and a decent oenough of a proc rate, could be 15% for a better number imo.]
4 piece – [Very lackluster, 15 energy every 20 seconds, thats nothing we get 15 energy off of a combat potency proc. If your are set on using Tott for the 4 pc, why not do something that will actually make the 4pc good? Blizzard has a lot of resources to figure out a set bonus that wont leave rogues in the dust on the damage meters.]

[Death Knight]:[Blood dps]

2pc T10 set for DKs is *heavily* skewed to favor unholy and frost. Death Strike isnt a major part of a blood Dk's dps roatation, whereas obliterate and scourge strike are the primary strikes for frost and unholy.

The easiest way to correct this would be to include heart strike and blood strike in the bonus.


4pc T10 set bonus for dps DK's seems kinda odd. Unless a dk isnt actually doing anything, the 3% bonus is going to be up 100% of the time except during the first rotation. Just make it a 3% increase without the runes down requirement.

2 piece - [this is cool. God knows we don't get crit % from gear the way other classes do. though one wonders if 2pc t9 isn't better.]
4 piece - [for real 51%? when i saw this on mmo champion, i thought, "data mined data is data mined." if so, why 51%? why not 49% or a nice round number, 50%? if it is 50%, this is freakin' sweet!

edit: if this is 5%, then meh, i'll keep another (t8 or t9) 2pc or get random non-tier gear

edit 2: 0.51s... good, but why not 0.5s? or 0.49s? not carping, but it seems a bit needlessly precise. however, this is a good bonus.]
