Its honestly not though. Kill yourself to lose sated then blow your own bloodlust if you are running 2 shamans. Hooray 2 bloodlusts in one fight :D

(I used to do this on my shaman :P)

your a bad shmana, and probably broke

raid buffs > bloodlust no buffs

Hey guys.

I'm a melee DPS that wears armor designed for a ranged class with the health of a cloth wearer that does less damage than a leather wearing melee and have half his survivability.

Ok, you can stop bumping this thread already. GC already acknowledged in the healing forums that they might consider lowering the baseline CD to 30 min. I'd be happy with that. Let this one die.

Its because he caught me killing myself to reapply bloodlust to myself when I was on my shaman!

This. Also I've seen kill vids where shaman were killing themselves on hardmode General Vezax. Thats why reincarnate isn't getting changed.

Q u o t e:
I wouldn't really compare Reincarnate to Rebirth. The use of the spells is somewhat similar, but the mechanics are basically opposite.

A far closer analogue is Soulstone. The downside of a soulstone is that you have to reapply it every 15 minutes rather than having it always on - but the upside is that you can put it on whoever you want if you think somebody other than you is likely to die.

Reincarnation is passive, but it's for yourself only.

People bring up the argument "but soulstone makes you guess who's going to die"... true enough, but at least you have that option. If you put it on the "wrong" person, then it's not used... but if the shaman happens to be the "wrong" person, Reincarnation isn't used either. We just don't have the option of making that educated guess at who's most likely to die.

In that sense, there's functionally no difference between a soulstone always cast on yourself and reincarnation.

Given that, I don't see any reason why it should have a cooldown longer than soulstone - much less 3.33x longer.

This is a good point, and Strawberry, you should be the next MVP

Shaman are like deer in the road, they would run away, but they can't do that while stunned ';..;'

As I said in the healing forums, we may drop Reincarnation to 30 base, talented to 15.

I also think there are probably more pressing class matters to discuss.

Yeah even 15 minutes means you can kill yourself just about every attempt to get around boss mechanics like General Vezax.

20 talented seems like the good one for me.

Fighting a Warrior is like fighting a blender; you can turn it off or unplug it from afar, but if you stick your face in it, you're going to lose.

Wouldn't it be (nice) if Shaman got their 15 minute Reincarnation baselined ... but received no other patch changes from now until Cataclysm?

Q u o t e:

I'm glad that you think so, for it seemed in another thread you were saying that elemental dps was pretty much where you wanted it. Here's the short list.

Basic mechanics topics:
-ToW
-No stand off aoe
-Lack of offensive c/ds
-Lack of scaling
-3 button rotation determined completely from amount of haste you can hoarde (ie, no procs to watch for, etc)

Gear topics:
-Lack of gear itemized for ele
-T10 set bonuses
-T10 ele relic

The list goes on, but these were just off the top of my head.

He said in a different thread that the Elemental totem was Haste, not crit. Issue solved.

Pay more attention.

?? The relic is completely awesome though?

I think you deserve a little credit. No one's ever dodged that shot of mine.. But nobody gets lucky twice, either!

See, OP? You're all set dude! :P

Troof!

Tier bonuses, crit's usefulness, aoe capabilities, and most importantly, damage scaling all need to be addressed first.

And then Ankh's ridiculous 50 minute cd should be talked about.

This is a great post.

Locks are not in the habit, at least in my raids, of holding onto their soul stones so that they can stand in the fire - which is an option provided them.

this is the most retarded QQ ever. No place in this game kills you instantly unless you are just plain bad. It's a great ability and I agree with GC. Reincarnation is different than bres and soulstone because it is a cooldown personal to the shaman.

Be happy the cooldown is only 1 hour.
