We attempted her maybe 7 times today (Lol, one shotted it last week), without being able to kill her in 25s because everyone kept getting DCed when the adds came in P2...I know my laptop isn't that great, but I'm fine at the starting of it, then whelps come, and my FPS keeps being reduced to like 0.000001 FPS and then I get DCed...Thing is, other people are using something a lot better than I have, and still get DC. We have about 10 every single attempt DCing, coming back dead because they stood in the deep breath or nova while DCed...Can something be done? It has to be client side, I had no problem with this last week...Thank you.

same here, my computer is quite good (quad core, 9800gt, 4gb ram ect...) and i get dc every time aswell. ive been lucky and not died each time i dced but its very anoying. plz fix this

The only addon we have in common is DBM, which to me is something very valuable...
I haven't tried again without disabling it, but I do need my other addons to actually play my class in raids (Healbot for raid frames and heals mainly - I live by it)
Also, my video settings are ALWAYS at the lowest setting, can't afford to change that. =/
Already get like 5fps in 25s most of the time if there is a lot of AOE.

This has happened to us as well in 25m, idk about 10m though.

Usually ~5-10 people get D/C all at once around phase 2's start.

My thought is even with low video settings, the AOE with whelps lags the hell out of them to the point of d/c, though I can't confirm this.

Even with a fairly good comp (quad core @2.4, 4gb ram, GTX260) and settings not on complete max, I still lag like all hell during the whelps for a few seconds.

I just did 10 man, and everything was fine...No lag spike at all in P2.
It's only 25, it seems.

Well in 25 players mode, about 15 raining AOEs + about 50 whelplings + many more = lag fest.

This looks like a internet provider problem have noticed this when grouped with a few mates everyone with a certain provider got disconnected whereas I kept happily going even with all addons still running.
Try it with guildies and ask who is using what provider and see who drops out some seem to filter download uploads if theres a lot of info at once eg: 50 whelps.

Of course I may just be grasping at straws but when all users of one provider drop out and others don't just seems a little strange.

Lol, I'm Canadian and I run with Videotron...No one has the same provider as me...

I have trouble in 25-man Gormok and Phase 2 Ony. It's when all the whelps die simultaneously.

The same thing happens to me, in heroics and 10 mans i'm fine. And I have a brand new computer, 8 bg ram phenom 9750 quad=core, ATI radeon Hd 4650 card. And welp phase, and many times in fire boss in Vault. i will dcd like crazy.

My FPS never drop, but latency will go from 250 ms (normal) to 1k easy and far on up. And is all been happening since onxyia patch.

to reiterate. 10 mans i'm good. haven't had any problems that I can remember, but when I step into a 25 man and a ton of stuff takes place. POOF i'm gone, and burning my psw back into the slot and spamming enter till i'm back online. many times only bot instantly dced back oput again.


I use to have a much MUCH lower geared computer, adn could do 25 mans and the new vault boss fine, no problems, but since the onxyia patch, with all of the server lag and so on. 25 mans are annoying and expensive to participate in, Even if the gorup one shots bosses, becuase I get dced adn hit by something.

I don't have the d/c issue (although I do freeze up for about 10 seconds when all the whelps get stacked and aoe starts) but I do have issues where I cannot hear any sound in game except the dodge one. This persists until the whelps are dead, then in-game sound goes back to normal.

I have also lost raid members to d/c during ph2 start. Personally i think it's the amount of adds and amount of aoe.

I'm running 1Gb video card, 8G of ram and 3G quad core processor and still getting Dc'd like crazy in Phase 2 of the fight. Still at 60frame rate and 300ms ping and poof i'm gone. checked provider, provider is a solid connection and still DC'd. Happy, happy, joy, joy to dc happiness.

Same thing happened to us last night. At first it was because we overstepped and pulled about 200 whelps, but even after we came back and told the whelp pullers to tone it down, we still had DCs.

Finally just had to do it on 25 without trying the whelp achievement.

Have you tried turning off settings in the WoW combat log? There is a lot of information that the log pickups that can easily tax a system. I set everything in the log to off and I use the parrot mod to gather information for me. It appears to have helped with my fps.

I've disconnected 3 of about 12 onyxia 25 attempts, at phase 2.
At least 7 of those attempts were wipes solely due to people disconnecting.
I don't normally DC.
It takes a long time to get back in, and for me it took two attempts each time, the first one disconnecting again with the cave visible but mobs not loaded.

You know...considering that ony's graphics (to my knowledge) hasn't been updated at all since the level 60 version when there was an extra 15 people (ie: 40 man) and the fight is exactly the same....something tells me this shouldn't be an issue.

with the older combat log they had in vanilla, that many adds wouldn't have been no problem. (like when people ran through the whelp cave)

It is because of the new combat log system that disconnects are occurring now. that many actions occurring at the same time in the combat log will simply crash the client on a computer too weak to handle it.

this. tried it last night in 10 man. only 1 person could stay online
