I would realy like to see a quest chain where players do stuff with or for Vol'Jin. The Darkspear trolls only realy story roll from 1-80 are helping the other horde races so they have a place to stay. It would rock if the Darkspear trolls where at least building their own city out in STV. The only time i have seen Vol'Jin outside Org is when the Horde had to retake UC and even then it was only a camio.

LOK'TAR O'GAR!"

i agree to a degree but puttin a city in STV is not gonna work cuz there is another troll tribe there remember and if u played through wc3 voljin plays a big role there and it will explain why he doesnt make that much of an apperance. cuz to me he is thralls "advisor", yes i am a troll player.

I dunno about STV either, but Vol'jin really does need to step up. It'd be nice to see some good Darkspear lore progression and I hope they really do some exciting stuff with the Shatterspear tribe too!

Well a new racial capital for them is highly unlikely, especially since neither the Goblins or Worgen will be getting full blown capitals.

However I would like to see the echo Isles get converted into a Troll 1-5 zone, and their presence across Azeroth noticeably increased. Perhaps either add a Troll-only quest hub to Stranglethron Vale, or convert Grom'Groll into a mostly troll quest hub.

Not all good ideas should be mandated, and not all bad ideas should be illegal.

Worgen Defiantly have there own capital(in theory) Gil'neas, Goblins supposedly leveled that weird mountain in aszhara that has no real use into a small city.

Gilneas is going to be a PVP zone, so the Worgen will be camping out in Stormwind with everybody else. Gobs will be getting their own space in Org as well.

Blood Elf=Night Elf
Orc=Dwarf
Tauren=Draenei
Forsaken=Human
&
Troll=Worgen
Goblin=Gnome

alternatively you could have
Blood Elf=Draenei
Tauren=Night Elf
but thats only based on a) TBC & b) druids (the paladin part doesn't register anymore now that Tauren have Pallys) *shrugs*

I have an unending thirst for knowledge
Innervate is great and all but we need a way to restore MANA not HP.
If they name it something stupid like Innervate im suing blizzard for stealing my ideas.

Both of those are their lore-based capitals only. They do not have the features of a fully functional capital from a game mechanics standpoint.

However the Worgen capital will be mostly used as a battleground featuring urban combat since it's occupied by the Forsaken.

The Goblin "capital" will be their rough equivalent of Sen'jin village and won't even contain their racial leader.

Not all good ideas should be mandated, and not all bad ideas should be illegal.

Theres nothing saying there WON'T be a real capital for the goblins and worgen, so lets just sit back, get a few thousand drinks and wait till they confirm or deny it.

I understand wanting more to do with Vo'jin. Poor fella's been sitting there patiently and quietly in Thrall's throneroom for quite some time now in Grommash Hold. The problem with it is this: we've been inundated with troll lore in the game, and I'd like to see it take a break. Cataclysm seems like it might have a nice sampling of night elf, and possibly even tauren, lore, and I think it's about time for a change.

With Zul'Farrak, Zul'Gurub, Zul'Aman, and Zul'Drak, I think i'm about Zul'd out. The trolls have tons of lore in the game already, some of it rather major (Zul'Gurub, Zul'Aman and Zul'Drak), and it's time for a break. Let the trolls sit on the side for a bit, let the other races shine a bit, and I think everyone's going to be happy.

I like trolls, I really do. It's just... enough.

We're talking about the Darkspear though, the Horde Trolls just taking initiative and doing more.

All the Zuls are enemy Trolls and instances etc. Agreed that there's plenty of those. But the Horde Trolls themselves need a little something more than just being beat on and beating up their distant cousins. I'm not even talking about a city... even just some NPCs and leaders getting more involved would be nice. Especially Vol'jin.

On the second day of Cata, my Blizzard gave to me... two new Druid toons and a Goblin Lock obsessed with mon-ey.

The problem I have with such an argument is that the PLAYABLE Night Elves as well as the Tauren have entire zones dedicated to them.

Night Elves: Teldrassil/Darnassus, Darkshore, Ashenvale, Feralas, Stonetalon, Moonglade.
Tauren: Mulgore/Thunder Bluff, Lower Barrens (Camp T), Thousand Needles, Stonetalon, Mooglade.

The Darkspear (read: playable Trolls) have three VILLAGES (not even zones): tiny Sen'jin Village, Malaka'jin and then they've got Shadowprey Village. That's it. You'd think they might have something in STV, but Grom'gol is primarily an Orc settlement. And despite the architecture in Zoram'gar, it too is Orcish (furthered in Cataclysm, as you will find out).

You mentioned all the other Troll bits, but at most the Darkspear have a token quest with them.

Tanaris/Zul'Farrak furthers the Goblin story.
Sunken Temple / Stranglethorn Vale / Zul'Gurub / Zul'Drak furthers the Zandalar story.
Hinterlands furthers the Revantusk story (and also indirectly the Zandalar).
Zul'Aman not only ends the greatest (forest) Troll character's story, but furthers the Budd Redneck story.

None of it furthers the Darkspear story. The only thing these other Troll stories serve to show is that Trolls have no power whatsoever (save for the Zandalar) and can never thrive. Which, is a horrible message to send the Darkspear. The developers actually really do need to show the Darkspear and Vol'jin some love because aside from a token town in the Zangarmarsh (that didn't do much), a Rokhan cameo in Dragonblight, and a hologram that does nada in Halls of Stone, there has been ZERO story for the Darkspear since vanilla WoW (and almost all of it, pre-level 30).

There has been a ton of TROLL story, but very very little that actually furthers the DARKSPEAR story.
As a friend of mine says, Darkspear Trolls might as well be blue Orcs with big tusks now.
