New realms are generally created based on population concerns. Almost all of the realms you mentioned are healthy but still have plenty of room for any players who are interested in an RP-PvP realm type which gives us little incentive to start a brand new one.

The best part of new realms with no transfers is unlocking all the content.

Can we have one for the Oceanic servers at least. I know rping may not be as popular here compared to the US, but it would be nice for those who do like to rp here in asia/australia to have one.

Would there be value in a realm, perhaps of each type, that was reset every 2 years, and you either lost your character or paid to move him before the reset? Then you give the playerbase a chance to re-discover old content without the constant addition of new realms.
Of course, you couldn't allow transfers TO such a realm.

Yeah...on my realm (opened shortly before TBC) it took us an entire year to open AQ. It would have been much longer if free X-fers hadn't opened up.
If everyone realized what utter disasters occurred last time new realms were opened, you wouldn't want new realms. Many of the last new realms that opened are STILL a mess two years later, stop asking for more.

While creating an RP realm is a possibility in the future, these realms tend favor a very particular part of the playerbase which can lead to further population concerns.
We are continuously monitoring the realms to determine if any changes need to be made though. These changes include things like setting up free character moves, changing the realm tag, and/or creating a new realm to help population concerns.

WoW Census shows Sentinels at a 1.1 : 1 ratio of Alliance : Horde.
I have no idea what Blue was trying to say so tactfully there.
Actually, I do not endorse the creation of new RP Realms until Blizzard has the resources and gumption to enforce RP Realm policy on the ones they already have.

From what I've seen of RP realms, the Trade and General chats are just as stupidly inappropriate and non-RP as all of the other servers.
In other words, there's no reason to bother since RP is not taken seriously at all. You'll still be hearing about Chuck Norris and all of that other junk.
