0. Onyxia Now Resets on Tuesdays 09/24/2009 12:42:25 PM PDT
With the updates to the Onyxia encounter in patch 3.2.2, this boss now resets every Tuesday like most raid instances. There was an issue when the patch first launched where an incorrect reset timer was listed. This has been resolved and Onyxia will reset next Tuesday as intended.

Does that mean that who did it on this tuesday will have to wait till next week or did the raid reset yesterday scheduled and will start resetting only next week?

Ony did not reset on Wednesday as was indicated.
Poor form to not honor a reset that was consistently shown on every means of finding out when the reset was. Doubly so for a faithful re-launch of a raid instance that had an unconventional reset in its first incarnation. Yes, I'm still bitter about this. Pulling a PuG by its teeth through it on Tuesday night was way less enjoyable than putting it on my guild's kill list for raid times. But hey, I was lead to believe I could do both.
Generally in a service industry errors made by the server are corrected in the favor of the customer. I can understand if that wasn't possible in this case, but at least say you would have liked to have honored it and apologize for the limitations of your system.

The issue at hand is really that some guilds don't raid Tuesdays, so guild members PUG'd the fight figuring it was going to reset anyways, and now weekly plans are thrown off.

the boss isnt even relevant in the grand scheme of things.
we did it on tuesday, but we wont be doing it as a guild again (or only doing it at the end of the raid week), it's there for fun, not something to schedule around.

Its not like every raid in WoTLK has had a tuesday 7 day reset or anything.
Much better assumption that it had a 7 day reset like all others this expansion than to assume it had some ass-backward 3-5 day reset on wednesday don't you think?

You know, other than them saying that it would be a normal reset, when someone asked them a few weeks ago. Anyone who thought they'd get a free reset and is no whining about it, was just being greedy.

It was 5-days. It also got confusing sometimes if you were trying to do it every reset. It could be cumbersome fitting into a regular schedule. Many guilds only ran it once a week as a result. Now it is uniform.
