Can this switch be flipped back and forth over the course of the raid progression? Like, can we do Boss 1 2 and 3 hard mode, 4 5 6 easy mode, and then for whatever reason do boss 7 hard mode again? Or is it all or nothing every week?

I suspect it will be like Ulduar, you can pick and chose what hard modes you want to do using this new UI feature that seems to toggle hard modes on and off, instead of some kind of fight mechanic activating it (like killing XT's heart or getting to Thorim in a certain amount of time)

I bet when Arthas hits 20%, he'll re-summon KT and Anub. Turning it to the most epic 20% in the history of WoW. Of course every 9 seconds, they will IMPALECOILNOVA one member of your raid, dealing 12k physical + 12k shadow + 12k frost damage instantly.

Assuming everything goes as planned, you can switch it back and forth as much as you like. Encounter 1 on hard, 2 on normal, 3 on hard, 4 on normal, etc.

In effect it works out similar to Ulduar but it's with a much more clear method in the UI as opposed to the fairly confusing process of figuring out some encounter mechanics just to activate it.

I agree. Although reading it over, it makes me think that the airship battle may be more like a Flame Leviathan fight and not a Faction Champs fight.

Still I wish they'd stop with all the vehicle combat.

They've said that there would be no vehicle based encounter. It seems likely that you're not going to be fighting the ship itself; rather, you may just fight it a little to down its defenses, then you fight off boarding parties while trying to get everyone over to the other ship to sabotage their defenses or engines.

Fighting Saurfang would be nearly impossible, though.

Why? Triumph emblems let you get the 232 T9 set, which is the same item level that will be dropping in the new 5-man. You can also get a few 245 pieces, but that's still worse than what drops in the Icecrown 10man easy mode.

Also, anyone who has done the Howling Fjord line that involves discovering the Secrets of Ymiron, you can walk up to the Lich King (who will promptly kill you for approaching him) and he goes on about how he was a Shaman at one point. That's clearly Ner'zhul talking, seeing as Arthas has never practiced Shamanism.

Who cares? They can't do anything without someone whining about something. 95% or more of the people who ENJOY this game don't come to the forums, they spend their time playing and having fun.

Maybe I'm just living in my own world where I'm thinking of ways to make raiding more fun =/. I know it will never happen. I just wish it would go back to when if you had gear, it meant something, other than now where if you aren't in full epics the day you hit 80 something is wrong with you.

I also like how almost every post going against my argument is from someone that has not done any hard modes in even 10 man ulduar, let alone anything harder. Just proving my point that no people that acutally do the hard content like how it is now.

People can't do the hard content when you have elitist raid leaders who demand that you need to have done the content in order to do the content.

In case that's too confusing...what I mean is the idiot raid leaders who want you to have an achievement before going into their PuG. It's been stated many times before that unless it's a high end raiding guild looking for a spot for badge runs, the raid leader himself hasn't completed it and wants people to carry him through. As if Achievements signify that you're competent. You can pull aggro and die within the first 30 seconds of the fight and get the achievement + gear.

Heroic daily farming... Every single day just to stay geared? I'd like to be able to do pvp or something on non raid days. Not aoe down content that was on farm 10 months ago.
