They take full aoe damage, and are practically unusable in toc heroic.

I don't mean to spam bump this but the infernal and felguard are broken. They should not take full damage from aoe while other pets only take 20%...

If you're going off of the patch notes, then GC already said it was intended for all pets to receive the 90% avoidance. All 7 classes with pets, all their pets. Spirit Wolves gaining avoidance were also not in the data mined files, but GC has said that they're supposed to, just like all pets.

I haven't entirely looked over the 3.3 notes but as of currently (3.2.2) the doomguard and infernal do not have any aoe reduction and die very quickly to heroic beasts...

edit: as well as any other boss with aoe :)

Well they made them more usable for 80, the next step is to make them have the same damage reductions as other pets.

The step after that is to make it so your initial pet returns when your infernal despawns.

Skinning a bear should aggro every bears in a 40 yard radius. It makes sense, you are actually skinning their best friend.

Ritual of Doom
80% of base mana 30 yd range
10 sec cast 30 min cooldown
Reagents:
Demonic Figurine
Begins a ritual that sacrifices a random participant's health to summon a doomguard. Requires the caster and 4 additional party members to complete the ritual. In order to participate, all players must right-click the portal and not move until the ritual is complete.

The doomguard summoned from this effect is different from the one summoned by a curse of doom kill. Ritual of doom's doomguard is under your control for 15 minutes at the end of which it simply despawns.

edit: the same goes for the infernal: you control it for 60 seconds and then it leaves.
edit2: Your raid would love you if you knew your class and gemmed/enchanted/geared accordingly.

Thankyou for being sensible. These two demons take our pet slot and they should get pet treatment like any other pet. Mirror images, wolves, water elementals, etc, etc, etc all get aoe reduction.
