Im just curious as to why you continue to nerf DKs?

Icy touch glyph was about the only thing keeping Death knights viable after the Scourge strike nerf, as it shifted our dmg into deathcoil.

with the glyph of icy touch nerf, I am wondering if there will be some positive changes instore for deathknights at some point in the 3.3 PTR proccess.

If not can you please explain to us why you continue to nerf deathknights?

Hoping that they buff Scourge Strike as a result but not getting my hopes up. As I see it now, the only viable 3v3 dk comp using SS is a dk/warrior/healer or dk/hunter/healer. Hell, the main reason dks chose shadowfrost is because our diseases get removed entirely too easy and SS hits like a wiffle bat. Pair this with the aoe pet nerf and my comp is pretty much boned

Buff to Scourge Strike is needed. Dispel protection is needed for our diseases and this pet thing...well I'll wait and see on that one.

The only 2 things this change nerfs is 0/17/54 unholy DW, and the "Deathfrost" pvp spec. Though I'm particularly fond of the first spec, whatever, 3/13/55 is looking quite promising. For all other specs that used the IT glyph, this is a buff. Especially to frost DW, since they're also fixing the fact that razorice didn't affect frost fever.

This hurts a ton of pvp builds. It appears the disease removal issue is going to be even worse for us in 3.3 since we lost our only work around to it =/.

The Icy Touch glyph was bound to be nerfed eventually, it's been one of the key factors in many of the obscure builds that Blizzard despises.

Hopefully nerfing the IT glyph with bring in some buffs in other - better - places, it was one of them things (such as paly bubble) keeping Blizzard from making certain changes to the class without it causing horrible issues in other areas.

PVE wise I can see it being a buff, but pvp wise, it's a rough day at the office...

It makes DW Unholy competitive with DW Frost.

If only we could nerf col, deathcoil, and remove death pact from the game, we'd be just about there.

I think its become an unwritten law that every patch must have Dk nerfs in some shape or form.

It should be noted that Unholy's single-target tank-and-spank PVE damage is NOT going down as a result of these changes, while AOE damage is getting a buff.
